Can there now be ANY doubt the civilized world is facing an onslaught from islamic facists bent on destroying the western way of life? Perhaps NOW we'll quit wringing our hands and trying to understand the poor dears?

There is no new Stones album in the world these savages inhabit.

This is what Israel faces - only now its a bit easier with the fence. It stops some of them at least.

Horrifying.

Let's not go into politics again on IORR. There are other forums for this and it solves nothing.

This is terrible, scary shit.

I live in SW London and my girlfriend takes the 'tube' (underground train) everyday to and from work, she works in central london. I could not get hold of her on her phone for so long because the networks were jammed. Now I know she is ok...

Condolences and thoughts to all those who have lost loved ones. At the moment there are only 2 confirmed dead, but reports of many many dead bodies being pulled from stations around London.

I bring you good news that this particular captain is alive and well having been on the train in front of the one that exploded at Aldgate this morning. As a Londoner your messages of support are warmly welcomed and strangely reassuring.

Thanks and shivering my timbers i be looking for a bar with a bed in it tonight as nobody here in the middle of town is going anywhere today!

Me thoughts and sympathies are with Londoners and all people who must endure cowardly acts of un-forwardned attacks. If you are going to blow up and kill people, at least have the decency to warn them

well, I think it's impossible to get used to that, it's really terrible!
there were the same here in Moscow, so I guess I know what people feel in Britain.
I condole with all the relatives and friends of perished and wounded in this attack.

I wouldnt exactly call that being 'decent', but I see your point !!

what andy said - we are used to them in the UK and have been for years. Doesnt make it any more pleasant but it just hardens your resolve against the bastards.

Right..none of this is decent. War isn't decent. But I understand the dynamics behind declaring a war vs just killing people to make a statement. These people don;t understand that the people of the UK, Spain, Russia, the US, Ireland, Isreal, Palestine, etc, are not going to bow to this stuff. The overall desire for peace is too strong and will always win out.
