I thought this was a room...a chat room!

"Chat room"? Did we just catapult back in time to 1997?

SomeTorontoGirl---this discussion and the various responses is making me think about the fine line between being charged up with lifeforce energy VS. (as Angee put it in her book) being "sexually thrilled."

And I wonder: is there a difference? If it is a woman who's fully charged with lifeforce, do we somehow equate that with sexuality? I had a discussion once with someone on this board, who afterward and since seems to loathe me because she apparently thought I was vulgar, about Jimi Hendrix's lifeforce on stage--and how absolutely, fundamentally sexual that is/was -- not literally about body parts colliding -- but how it stirs you, where it reaches you. So maybe I'm reversing myself here. (Tho' Jimi Hendrix drew way closer to literal "sexual thrillingness" for me than the Stones)

I don't know...truly. But I think about the old expression of being "turned on." I don't believe it always had a purely sexual connotation. Instead, it meant your lifeforce energy is turned up high. In that case, I'm in a state like that quite often, for whatever reason. But I don't think of it as sexual per se. I mean I'm not staggering around drooling and objectifying people on the streets--just feeling GOOD and pulsing with life!

A couple guys have remarked about Stones girls being fun and down for anything---which, I totally get, and not surprised by, but for me has to do with what I posted last night re: Stones make me feel free, autonomous, strong, and joyful. I mean, that is fun energy, right? But to equate it to sexuality, per se, to me seems, if nothing else, maybe a bit limiting? I mean, if anyone is truly "in their body" and feeling good, sex isn't that far a reach, right? But it also doesn't -at all- necessarily have to mean anything to do with sex. Having all your sense awakened and stimulated, dancing your ass off, laughing, expressing yourself, feeling joy and power. None of that is necessarily (at least, to me) sexual.

Anyway, just some random thoughts in the midst of a workday...back to it!

btw. I believe you're right about Jimi Hendrix, swiss. He was a very sexual person both on stage and off stage. And there is no denying how many guys picked up a guitar to increase their sexual attractiveness. Even Keith has said in interviews he couldn't get girls to look sideways at him before he started playing guitar.

peace

I wish I had started playing guitar at a younger age - say 12 - I could have saved myself a lot of heartache and trouble! Guitar = babe magnet

One thing I learnt many years ago (1989 - 1992) when I drove a taxi on the night shift and met thousands of girls and women was that a substantial amount of them froze and turned off whenever the Rolling Stones were mentioned, so much so that eventually they went on my list of 'things to not talk about' with religion, politics and (sex* - with exceptions) - having said that one girl did say to me, having heard Keith play Happy, that she was glad he'd stopped playing because she was about to cum.......so.....she was an exception though....

No, nowhere as 'exotic' as that. The mini city that is the Swansea bay 'metropolis' on the south coast in Wales UK.
Basically, driving nights is a strange mix of violence, sex, general fun & chat and driving fast. The violence ultimately gets you down - I packed it in after needing to hit a bloke with a tyre iron to stay alive. (No joke, a taxi driver from a rival firm was burned alive for £50 ($80) two months after I finished.....at £1 per hour plus tips, it wasn't worth it, esp. with the police considering charging me with GBH (grevious bodily harm) until they finally believed it was self defence)......Most of the sex stuff (personal and about others is too blue for here but here's a funny story.

There was a farm girl from up the top of the valley. She had, let's say, a 'reputation' ......, she came from a place where it's said "the Men are men, the sheep are shit scared and the women smell like horses".....you get the picture.
Well, one night a phone call came through to the office, it was Bronwyn, the controller put her on speaker phone. "No, I don't want a taxi, I want you to send one of your drivers up here to @#$%& me".
To a man, suddenly, everyone had a job to go to and so was very busy........
As the controller went to put the phone down, the new 'boy' in his clean trousers and nicely ironed fresh white shirt pulled up in the yard, "Hold that phone",.....then to the stifled mix of groans of anguish and giggles of all the other drivers Tony was sent on his merry way to "pick up" Bronwyn. He thought he was going for a fare.

That was about 11PM. 1AM? no sign and not answering his radio, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, then finally at 4.30, In he strolls with a huge grin on his face, his new shirt ripped to strips and covered in lipstick....................
"thanks boys, I enjoyed that"...........................
I guess it's one of those situations you have to have been at to get, one minute he's dressed to the nines on perfect behaviour like a chauffeur, the next, a wide eyed sexual deviant, his hair all on end like the wild man of Borneo who found someone of a kindred spirit in Bronwyn and then couldn't believe his luck, so funny.................

We couldn't decide whether to regard him with 'respect my man' or total disgust.............either way, he was regarded a bit of a legend after that, esp. as we tried to 'set him up' and ultimately he did for us all and had the last laugh.............

Walmart and Target had them. Can currently find sizes S/M/L on eBay.ca if you type in Sesame Street boxers.

Ha! It must translate differently Over the Pond, as things do. Found out the hard way my first time in the UK... The word 'fanny' over here is a rather benign word for 'bottom' used by small, polite children. It caused a wee stir when I used it...
