Ha! It must translate differently Over the Pond, as things do. Found out the hard way my first time in the UK... The word 'fanny' over here is a rather benign word for 'bottom' used by small, polite children. It caused a wee stir when I used it...

A male tart ------complete with mincing gear and eye liner...........esp. Black limosine....camp as a boy scout jamboree...........

What's it mean there?

Fanny, yes, I guess it might raise an eyebrow or two - depending on what was happening to the said fanny of course................

I just had a think about that.....over here,

It a bit of a double entendre all depending on context;

Female - affectionate, a bit of a flirt, or maybe a lot of a flirt but all good fun and.....

nasty....scathing reference to a hooker......

First male definition is the same as the first female def above and second is more exaggerated as in Mick in his yellow tights....etc..

The last time I was called that I seem to remember mincing around to something or other, probably by the Stones.......but I'm suspecting as you didn't mean that you meant the first and I've answered my own question......anyway, whichever way...you're welcome.....cool smiley

My friend and I were once listening to "Sparks Will Fly" (rather loudly) and his progressive, feminist wife had just come home from work. When Mick sang "I'm gonna <bleep> your sweet <bleep>!", she walked in, looked at us, shook her head, and walked out without saying a word, still shaking her head. Awkward moment. "I'm gonna hear about this later", he said somberly.

Did your friend hear about it later?
Would his wife have found the lyrics sexist, offensive, or simply too graphic?

Yes, she took advantage of the fact that her husband and his friend were enjoying Mick Jagger telling his woman he was going to put it where the sun don't shine and she later chastised her husband for his infantile taste in music. They are divorced now, sadly.

I knew this wouldn't get far before the locker room humor started. Any women comment yet? I for one find this subject very interesting and something that could and maybe should be explored more deeply. To get women together to discuss how and why Stones music may have made them more "active" might benefit us all and if you can get them all in one room I'd like to be a part of that. Dang you guys dragged me in too!

I've loved both Mick and Keith since 1978 when I was 11. I still can't decide so I'll take both. Both are big flirts. The Stones inspire to dance which is a way to publicly express sexuality...Mick knows all about that...they all do. Even Charlie.

Urban Dictionary indicates you are correct. Of course, that's not quite where I was planning on going, but stuff happens...
