Mick and Keith are now both confirmed to be in NYC.
At least as of yesterday.

I'm really hoping for an old school in person announcement...

Curious, source?

Yeah, a nice flatbed truck drive-by would be great.

On Wednesday night, Nashville, Tenn., TV station WKRN-2 reported that "an issue with the nationwide promoter's ticketing" is shifting the tour announcement to a date later than Thursday.

A tour does appear to be in the works, according to the station's interview with Nashville mayor Karl Dean.
Why would a ticketing issue prevent a tour announcement? Hell, they announced the 2013 tour without even a firm date for the opening Los Angeles show. A ticketing issue would prevent an onsale, but not an announcement of dates or venues.

It's very odd.. Wouldn't they have all of this situated and under control before evening beginning to promote an announcement? Seems like a waste of time to have gotten all this hype, all the news outlets have picked it up, and now they simply don't say anything.. Not even a mention of a delay. They just leave us in the dark

Unless you need to have FOH tickets from experience I can tell you there will be a large number of people trying to dump tickets in the parking lot below face value as show time gets close. I have seen this first hand for every tour since the BtB tour.

This is a little more risky for arena shows but for big stadium shows it seems to be the norm these days for a Stones concert.

You are correct because they will not sell out. Anywhere (unless a relatively small place)

AEG and AXS are the absolute worst, and I am talking all artists not just the Stones. Got screwed over in The Who and Bob Seger fan club pre-sales with long waits in the AXS queue, back of the house offerings, and better selections in the public sale. They really don't know what they are doing and their ticketing program is designed to be deceptive.

Unless it is someone I really must see I do my best to just boycott their venues and ticket system. I have no sympathy for these devils. I hope they go bust when the last of the big bands retire and the kids just say no to their BS.

Bring back Cohl and Ticketmaster.

And it could be that Major cities are throwing Big Big Big Bucks to get them to play there and we all know that Mick is all about the $$$$$$$$$$. This could turn into full blow tour with the hype that is being created. The Dead said "only" 3 dates and now it rumoured the bay area and virginia and new york as dates. Money rules and everyone waits.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Stade de France and Tokyo Dome both sold out in one day in 2014, but were not sell outs in 2007.

I'll admit that Cohl definitely had a vision but he was not Bill Graham by any means, still i'd take him over what we have now because at least with Cohl from Steel Wheels through A Bigger Bang there was a common person in charge of the whole touring apparatus. Now we definitely don't have that.

This delay could be very worth it...for me, if they end up adding Seattle or Utah, it was WELL worth the wait. I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way.

JFK Stadium '78 they were selling them for $5. Face value was $12. If it's raining on the day of the show, as it was that day, you could get in for very cheap.

These days, "sold out" just means scalpers have all the tickets.

Agreed. Different cities added could affect travel plans for many. I sincerely hope they move a little closer to Boston, I like that Hartford CT siteā€¦.lol!!

Sounding interesting...just looked at BV's show list and there are some 4 day gaps for shows in there that I'm sure they could plug in a few shows.

There is a 6 day gap between San Diego May 24 and Columbus Ohio May 30.

How about Seattle May 26 and Vancouver May 28?

These guys are 70 years old - you think they are going to do 4 shows in 6 days?

As far as moving the stage, it is 2,400 miles from Vancouver to Columbus. Semi-trucks can only go about 1,200 miles in 24 hours, and that is with team drivers. I'm sure they also need more than 24 hours to set everything up.

I believe they have 2 - 3 stages constantly moving

Why did the Stones break with Michael Cohl?

Did they have a falling out, or does Mick think he can do what Cohl does without having a middleman?

Are you suggesting that Mick Keith Charlie and Ronnie aren't even there helping move the stuff?

This may work out then!

Re: The Rolling Stones live in 2015

Nashville is only 60 miles away from the Bonnaroo festival and the rumored date for Tennessee is almost dead on for the fest.
With the delay in tour announcements, I'm thinking its to work last minute details with the festival promoters at Bonnaroo, Milwaukee and perhaps a few other festivals.
BTW, New Orleans Jazz Fest misses the tour schedule by only a couple of weeks.
A warm-up gig at the fair grounds wouldn't surprise me either.
Anything is possible!
