I was thinking the same thing - Ian Mc Donald from King Crimson, but was not sure. Kind of looks like him in some photos and they did play the same day.

Yeah sort of. Could it be? I still think it's somebody else.

Didn't we have this thread earlier and concluded with Stash?

Or is it just a deja vu...

The Facebook link in the first post leads to some hilarious guesses. Bobby Keys has NEVER looked like that! And for my money he looks nothing like Stash, either (but if it is him, big improvement in hairdo). He does look like Ian McDonald in the Hyde Park pics, but not in the first one.

Hey, Rockman and Souldoggie - and everyone else!

Those photos came from my old Anita site from a decade ago and have made their way all over the internet over the years. I have the original black and white negatives and photos of pregnant Anita with the man backstage and onstage at Hyde Park (and no information came with either), and Constance took the color screencaps from Hyde Park.

Anyway, the man I bought the negatives and photos from does not know who the mystery man is. I asked both Stash and Marlon years ago if they could identify the him, but they have no clue as to who he is. Marlon's best guess is that the man "worked" for the Stones.

I'd still like to know who he is, and thought he was perhaps related to Tarka and Orlando Campbell, but he isn't. I came to terms years ago that he's likely just another guy on the fringe of the Stones' camp, as Marlon suggested, who probably fell along the wayside early on.

We're working on getting the old Anita site back up and running again whenever we have time, as we have bought hundreds more rare photos we've bought and scanned and can't wait to share! We've had three servers/hosts since 1999, and hope we can finally find a permanent one that won't shut down on us!

There is a resemblance there I think as well. I knew it wasn't Stash and since he was actually asked about the person in question I guess we can rule him out.

I think the brown haired woman IS Suki, and the blonde behind her is Anita. I'm pretty sure Suki had dark hair at Brian's funeral.

I think Mystery Dude is the guy from King Crimson, too. Same brow, primarily, and the nose & chin don't look too far off, either.

Oh rats. Every time I see this thread has been updated I hope the mystery is solved, and now I fear it never will be! What strikes me as odd is that he's a pretty cool-looking dude, obviously close to the center of the action, and yet he doesn't really seem to have registered much on anybody's radar screen.

Yeah I know, my two best shots are/were Ian and Paul Rudolph but no, we have to solve this. I was wrong. And Gypsy 18, fantastic, keep up the good work and good luck. Love this thread.

She had an older sister, Rosemary Sarah Potier, born 12 February 1946.
Suki named her oldest daughter Faye, and her youngest daughter Sarah. Sarah is a successful jewelry designer in London, and has a toddler daughter whom she named Suki.

Gypsy - I loved the earlier site you had on Anita. It is awesome you will have a new one up. I love that whole era of the Stones. Cheers
