That was a difficult cashier then... Brian wanted to stop touring (sth which would have terminated the band...) since 2001. Angus killed 2 birds with one stone here : he found a new singer and he gave the band another 5 (10?) years lifetime.
can't really blame him. HAve you heard the two songs played with G&R at Coachella? Angus still sounds amazing.
Do you think they will continue with Axl after these upcoming shows?
Maybe record a new AXL/DC studio album together?

I don't know. I think Rose was given a huge sum to do those remaining 2016 gigs. After that my guess is the band will hibernate (as they always do after a tour) and Angus might discreetly audition a new singer.
But your specualtions are as good as mine. Logically Axl should go back to G&R right after the bunch of AC/DC shows are played.
Would we prefer to see two guitarists onstage with Mick who could replicate peak Keith/Ronnie weaving from '81-'82, or to see Keith and Ronnie as they are in 2016, warts and all?
I do not believe that there are ANY tribute bands who play better than the ACTUAL Stones.
I, of course, would prefer to see Keith/Ronnie over ANY replacements.
I had tickets to see AC/DC AGAIN on the Rock or Bust tour here in Detroit.
I returned them for a refund well before AXL was even rumored for the gigs.
I will repeat that the situation is BIZARRE and I do not condone the decisions that have lead up to this current lineup.
But this is NOT AXL's fault.
He's been given an opportunity and I believe that HE WILL KILL IT onstage.

This is like one of those oldies acts with almost no original members.
Axl sang on one classic album 3 decades ago.
I am sure these people want their money back so they can go to some other once in a lifetime $200 concert.

Point to where I blame Axl for anything - you can't. I simply said that the fact that his voice is superior to Brian's is NOT, in and of itself, a reason to replace Brian. A band is more than a random collection of skilled musicians who can execute songs at a high level.Quote

Axl is a big Bon Scott fan so you'll be probably get a heavy dose of that era and less of the latter day stuff.there is a goldmine of songs from the Bon era that fit his voice really well,we all saw him nail it at coachella.If i was going i would go back and listen to High voltage, Powerage,Let there be rock, highway etc because they'll probably do some of the deeper cuts off those.

I'm a huge AC DC fan. On a whim I caught the Dallas show in February - turned out to be amazing timing.
I'm also a realist- time waits for no man - and with these "classic" acts the fact is that age and failing health is catching up with all of them. No one is forcing anyone to buy tickets and I'm sure Axl will do fine.
My prediction- they will blow the doors off the European stadiums and after a few shows will announce the revised US arena dates. I will definitely be there!
