He played on every album from 1969 until 1974 and from 1980 to present, and has performed on all Stones tours since 1970.

Is that true? I only recall Ernie Watts from the LSTNT movie.

Bobby played a few gigs in 1981, on selected numbers, as well as on every 1982 gig.

But I can't recall any sax playing on IORR the album...

Great story and congrulations.

I am not surprised as he comes across as a very nice character and it was a pleasure to once have met Bobby for a few minutes.

Thanks folks, I've read this forum for a long time but never actually took the time to register. When the track is mixed and ready for a listen then this'll be the first place to hear it! Bobby played a pretty fantastic solo though so you're in for a treat.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong place! Beginners mistake, so apologies!

Thanks for all the well wishing!

Raymond thanks for posting. Hats off to BK and to you. Once "met" Bobby in hotel lift in Oslo during Stones tour.
Good luck and hopefully see you at Stones gig at Hydro in the future. Dream on.

Bobby looks more and more like a cross between Bill Clinton and Larry Hagman..

I thought he played throughout the 81 tour, on Brown Sugar only. I saw about 10 shows that tour, Philly, NY, NJ, Hartford, and that is my recollection

Bobby "guested" on October 9 and 11 in LA, and then joined the tour October 24 in Orlando. He played on 'Let It Bleed' and 'Brown Sugar'.

Very cool indeed. smiling smiley I'd love to meet BK, except that I don't want to know if he's not as funny and personable as I imagine him to be.

You won't be disapointed, he is a friendly and jokey kind of a guy.

He had me in stitches...naturally funny, warm and down to earth. I won't lie, it was a little surreal to be standing sharing jokes. Hopefully the track will be ready soon and I can let you guys hear it! The rough mixes are great...Bobbys solo is very Rip This Joint! A top man...
