I still hear broom, too. The image it gives me is that the other person has a feather broom, with all the feathers intact, whereas KR has only a single feather by comparison confused smiley

And then after that, he maybe says either "out" or perhaps "ouch"??

I ordered the CD from Keith's website a while ago so I could get a few guitar picks for my son. Does that mean I won't get the bonus song?

Lovely review (except for calling Heartstopper "generic").

Once the reviewer gets to the last paragraph it's "mail it in time". Like, geez if I like too many more songs I may have to give it a better rating than 7…lol

He's already said kind things about the rockers and then says Heartstopper and others sound like generic trans-atlantic rockers. (Trouble?) Oh well, that's why I'm maindefender!!

I do hear why some people are hazarding "you've got the groove",
but what would that have to do with Keith having a feather?
I'm afraid I'm stuck hearing "broom" but insisting it must be "plume".
"... and I got a feather - how!" like a Hollywood-style Native American?

I don't know! But in any case I really like this track.
It Means a Lot, cranked up, teed off and funny :E

A good interviewer might ask Keith what the lyrics in this song are about. they just keep asking the same dumb questions over and over. and the pictures with Keith smoking are very old too.

do you think he means that funny ear thing that Mick wears??

maybe we are reading into this too much. maybe its just a big nonsense song but then why is Keith so mad? shit.

The word genius gets used too freely these days
But even at this late stage in the game, genius has still not left Keith's building

I have Chris Koenig to thank for the motivation.... he titled an email "Matt Lee you are on assignment" while I was still at work in London Bridge. The title got my attention but when I read the message I thought, no way, someone will have done it by the time I get there, so I carried on working. By the time I was finishing work the track still hadn't been unlocked and googles travel time estimate had now dropped below 40 minutes.

Then as I actually left the office, google said it would only take 32 minutes. I was tempted. I checked again and the world was still waiting. I thought bugger it, I never shy away from a Stones related adventure so I jumped in the car. In my mind I was still going to be beaten but worst case I was likely to end up meeting someone who shares the same passion. What was the downside.

I shaved google by 4 minutes taking the racing line on some deserted roundabouts, causing my satnav to change orientation as the car leaned like a yacht on the high sea. Pulling up there were a couple of smokers outside the pub almost opposite but the street was otherwise deserted.

Logging back into the site the track was still unlocked, I couldn't believe it. My heart was now racing, reading the plaque I read "Sustance1" as that made a lot more sense than "Substant1", plus it was dark, and I'm dyslexic. I had to fiddle with my location services to allow the map point to turn gold and then I typed in "Substance1" rejection :-( Checking the plaque again, I realised my error and quickly tried again! Boom, I was in and Substantial Damage started playing. It was an amazing feeling to have released the music to the world and to be listening to it first.

"Your destination is on the right" - OMG, No! The moment was ruined by the navigation voice who would not shut up! Fumbling around in an attempt to turn off the sat nav I closed down my private world premiere of Substantial Damage live from rainy Dartford England. Gutted!

Luckily my self restraint prevented me for inflicting substantial damage on my phone and I returned to the shelter of the car and calmly enjoyed the track while looking at the plaque. Just time for a quick selfie with the plaque and it was back in the car with a big smile on my face to get home.

Mission accomplished, I could return the car safely to Q branch.

Is it just me, or does "Substantial Damage" use a substantial dose of riffs from the instro break in "If You Can't Rock Me"?

Robbed Blind or Love Overdue would be a good showcase for the album's range. I agree Illusion is likely to be one of the remaining tracks because of Norah Jones' contribution.

On the other hand, "Good golly, Molly" is clear as a bell for me, so that's staying :E

I've always heard "Good golly, Molly" followed by "I don't know why I love you, I don't know why I do!"

If we take the first part as a Little Richard reference, it's possible the second was a bit of Dion and the Belmonts' "I Wonder Why" slipping in.
