Taylor Swift is a talented young superstar.
Not the best vocalist, but she writes her own stuff and it's perfectly crafted popmusic. Very entertaining.
There, I said it.

Phew...I feel better...how do you feel?

Pretty good.

I prefer looking at Taylor Swift than at Taj Mahal.
But that might just be me (and Mick).

I hope the next guest will be Beyonce or Tatyana Ali.

Wild Horses or Live with Me

My wife, daughter and future Son In Law love Taylor Swift. I've found that open eyes always help with new situations and you can always learn something you never thought you knew about yourself without giving something new a shot. That being said, I have no idea will the guest will be next week in Boston haha. They should play 19th Nervous Breakdown baby. I think Taylor could pull that off.

Let's hope her autotune device comes with a Rolling Stones setting.

Hopefully we will get guests that fit into the Stones set when we get to the east coast. Perhaps we can get Clapton for one of the shows.
Maybe the Obama's will be at the DC show.
Philly maybe Springsteen again.
Taylor Swift was at the bottom of my lists for guests.

There's still plenty of time for Ke$ha and Nicky Minaj to show up!

Her voice isn't the best, but I do think her pop songwriting skills are commendable. Nothing she's written is particularly memorable imo, but she does write some catchy tunes.

It certainly will get the Stones some big press coverage tomorrow, and I'm sure that's what they are going for. I know my daughters will be interested, one of them is a big Swift fan, so she fits their target audience.

Funny thought, both Taylor Swift and Katie Perry are ex girlfriends of John Mayer. I guess we should be happy he didn't date Jessica Simpson.

Elvis will do a great Emotional Rescue falsetto.

Chris are you in the pit tonight?
Lets hook up for a beer before the show.
I know you walk around the arena before every show I'll be looking for you.

I think it will be HTW. She would fit in on this as well as LWM or WH.

Know why I love the fact that that there will be a young, hot, hugely popular
singer sharing the stage with The Rolling Stones tonight for one song??

Because it's The Rolling Stones and that's what they do and have done for a long time. If this is somehow news to you, then you haven't been a fan for long and/or haven't been paying attention. Watching Mick play/interact/direct the invited hotties is part of the experience and the fun. For fans and Mick et al.

Everyone BUT The Rolling Stones want them to treat this tour like it's their
last tour. They just keep doing what they've been doing. Business AS USUAL.

Love that.
F__k the critics, they seem to be saying.

Everyone whined about ticket prices.
Everyone whined about Mick Taylor.
Everyone whined about special guest picks.

And everyone, just as it has always been with the beloved (by most of us)
Rolling Stones has been proven wrong.

Can't wait to see Taylor Swift interact with Mick tonight.
Let's see hat she brings to the ONE number.

For some reason I see a live disc coming out after this tour which is all songs with their guests. It will draw from markets young and old, rock and country and pop.
Anyone else ever thought this might happen?

Just remember how bad Amy Winehouse was. Mr Potato head would of been better than her. At least the guest on this tour didn't act like a stupid drunken fool like she did.

She really can't sing. She has to use Autotune on live performances. She's heavily autotuned on that DL clip. She can barely carry a tune and her voice is really weak. She was just awful on the Grammys singing with Stevie Nicks. Maybe the band will give her some kind of electronic boost to cover up her lack of a voice.

How can anyone sound awful singing with Stevie Nicks. Nicks can make sheep sound like a choir next to her.

A little offtopic

I think that Thorogood would be a good guest in the future.

Or maybe his style is too fast and rude for the Stones rythmn today?

Actually, Mayer did date Jessica Simpson. Said she was "like sexual napalm."
