That Backstage Bar is still behind the stage, that map has it cut off, it's located in area "G" directly behind the stage. Otherwise I agree.

In the map with legend kindly posted by Schillid, area G is shown as the King's Head and is hardly backstage!

And I am staring at this iPhone app with a different map. What a total sham, seems to be a group of rookies running this festival.

I bought Tier 2 specifically so that

1. I wouldn't have to turn up early to guarantee a good spot, and

2. I wouldn't have to sit there all day protecting that spot.

Seeing as much of the Tier 2 area will have next to no view of the stage, I've gained nothing.

The only thing to hope is that they've been very generous with the space, and that no one will need to stand in the right-hand half come showtime. Same applies to Tier 1. It is still very far from the configuration originally described.

i'm paying over a pound a minute for the stones. This has just ruined my week discovering the set times.

Actually, I think that Tier 1 and Tier 2 look to be much better than on the original map (unless they are oversold). Originally, those sections were way off to the side. If the new map is correct, I think that folks in those tiers will have a decent experience.

Provided they are undersold and that you can find a spot in the left of the Tiers, what's the chance of that?

It's really perplexing that they would only have the stones play 90 minutes vs 140+ for their normal show, who signed off on this? The "opening" bands are going to be given a hard time by the crowd no doubt...not that it's going to help anyone at that point of course. Sad, sad, sad...

Tier 2 should be fine in any event. If the maps are drawn correctly (big if), then it is entirely in front of the stage. Part of Tier 1 would appear to be obstructed, but again, in my experience, the front section is undersold to allow people to go to the rest areas between acts.

The 90-minute setlist is a much bigger problem. They actually have an absolute curfew in Hyde Park, right? What time was it?

Who will actually care for any of the support acts. Mean admittedly I quite like the vaccines and the temper trap but I'd happily get rid of them for more of the stones. This might be my one and only chance to ever see them (born too late). I wish it would be longer

Absolute curfew is 22:30, i still vote kicking one of the support acts, could claim over an hour with that (with the ridiculous 45 mins between bands)

22.30 apparently, maybe they need to drop one of the opening bands! I for one would be perfectly happy with just Gary Clark Jr and The Stones...

Too funny, the BST app has a different map!

Now there's a surprise...

How hard can it be to plan these things, jeez.
They are able to f uck up every single thing.
tickets, delivery, maps, time tables.
On my way to London right now! See you there!

Well, if you're BST/AEG ........ seemingly it's extremely difficult to plan these things, because you're absolutely correct. They have f***ed up pretty much EVERYTHING to do with these two Stones shows in Hyde Park ....

Honestly, I can´t think of the Stones playing 90 minutes at their OWN
show where their OWN fans come from all over the world in their HOMETOWN -
while they play 2 h 15 min at Glastonbury, a festival where they weren´t
even part of the bill when it sold out, in front of musicfans, not Stonesfans.

If the 90 minutes are true...it´s a huge letdown.

---> Just realised that...sad smiley

Hyde Park: Stones just headliner - or is it a Stones concert with a lot of support acts?
Posted by: TooTough ()

I just hope that the Stones will play a full set (let´s say 2 hours)
and not a shortened one as part of a festival lineup (like Toronto 2003
or Isle of Wight 2007), both with a 16/15 song set lasting for 1 hour
and 40 or 30 minutes.

Start time for the event is now 12 pm!
Wasn´t it 2 pm yesterday? If yes, maybe there is a revised timetable soon.

Does people with T3 tickets can enter also from the 'upper west' entrance, or only from the North Entrance? The upper west entrance looks closer to the stage/FOS...

Well, well, well...maybe the tide will turn come Saturday and the clusterfck of idiotic decisions made since day 1 will give way to an alignment of stars ;-) I'm not taking any chances though and will try to make it to Tier 1 as early as possible. I suppose we'll be getting wristbands too so we should have in/out privileges and if it looks ok we can walk back to the Monkey Pub ? ;-)

Not even sure at what time the gates open with all these announcements left and right, 12 ?

In the full map - [bst-hydepark.s3.amazonaws.com] -
you can see the Silly Bar is marked E,
so it's a Somewhat Receded Stageside Bar. Silly for short. eye rolling smiley

Hi Just checked the BST web site the time for the Stone is now 20:30 - 22:15
link: [www.bst-hydepark.com]

Just went into full event line up and selected 6th July.

So it has to finish as 22.00 that's a 2 hour set (providing the play up to 22.30) still a bit better than 90 minutes.

The whole thing is a real disappointment, I am surprised by this bad organization particularly for a band like the Stones. I guess all the changes mean a lot of internal discussions (map, Tiers areas, schedules...) and that it's still not finished.
I wouldn't be surprised that the Stones decide to play more than 90 minutes, planned or not...

This 90 minutes show is the worse surprise for this event in London, Hyde Park so anniversary, for their fans who come from everywhere... angry smiley

Anyway, I don't really regret my Tier3 ticket (I didn't manage to get a Tier1), just hope a big good show in the fall now.

Sure hope that is correct, I will be angered if they do not play for 2 hours. Questions are being put on the fb site too.

The one that's marked "accessible entrance"? That's for disabled people -
I really doubt they'd let anyone else through there.
