Did Taylor blow it? That`s it, "blow" is right.

I love when caring fans interpretating something that isn't there.

I don't think he blew it, but I was not impressed either. To my ears his playing was 'over the top' and just didn't seem to fit.

Haven't heard "night 2" version, how was it different? You think he toned it down some at their request to not outshine the rest of the show??

start with the word interpretating as the first thing that isn't there.

I think it was just a case of excitement and nerves on the first night.

Did he blew it (Moron).

If someone overplayed on the 25th it is certainly not Mick Taylor. Probably he was just nervous and also had only recently started to play this song again. At some point during the break Jagger looked at him and mouth 'ssshhhh' though.

I can see, given Mick J's interviews for the exile thing, why he would want him on this song, but honestly I don't think it was the best choice when you look at the songs they rehearsed in Bondy.

He fitted much better on the 29th.

Are you sure? I didn't see that...

I am quite sure I saw it, yes. I think he was looking at Taylor at that moment, but he could simply have been looking elsewhere on his right.

So which version was better, the 1st or 2nd?

The second imo, it was more the old Taylor, he just should adjust his sound, less treble, more sustain, a bit more fluid playing, and preferably an old Ampeg crancked up at 11. And if they do Taylor era stuff, the Stones are better off with 2 guitars; three is too muddy. But then it's too late already, or do miracles happen ?

Well Mick Taylor of old hardly moved onstage, what he did was play guitar and blow everyone off stage... I was surprised to see him play cat and mouse with everyone onstage.. He was probably more nervous at the O2 that we was in Hyde apark 69... Too bad for us and too bad for Taylor... i think he should stuck his head down and lift the band with his feel and sound... Yes Ithink he blew it allright... Do you think he will show up in Mewark? i hope so...

So the consensus has now shifted to Taylor not having been good in London after all?

I must have been at a different gig.

Both performances at O2 seemed good to me but I can see how the boys may have thought he was over the top. Anyone who's familiar with them knows everyone associated is on thin ice. One thing I came away with was how much I've enjoyed Woody during his Stones tenure. The greatest recording may have been made with Taylor but Woody does a great job on all three eras of the band. Best evidence as who belongs in The Rolling Stones was Brooklyn's Midnight Rambler crushing the O2 versions...

very interesting... Maybe the two guitars? Actually I think it was the Stons that blew it, they should've had a mini section of 3 or 4 tunes with all surviving Stones...

I really feel sorry for Mick Taylor.

Stones never got over the fact he quit, this was their way of firing him I suppose. I was surprised at the tune they chose especially when they're playing All Down The Line his slide standout. Do I feel sorry for him, nah, even after all these years how do you quit the greatest rock and roll band in the world?

Wyman is great. I saw Steel Wheels and Some Girls tours and he was like a mini Entwhistle.... Really telegraphed the changes like a true brit. Still nice he played a few weeks ago, we have UTUBE to enjoy. YCAGWYW
