Yeah these three songs with Mick Taylor would be good...actually sign me up for Gimme Shelter too "Stars in the Sky" style.

The Rolling Stones' rehearsals setlist, Nov 1 2012
Another great setlist on this Nov 1st:

I wanna be your man
It's all over now

Not fade away
Everybody needs somebody to love
Get off of my cloud
Doom & gloom
One more shot
Some girls

I just want to make love to you
Sway
Wild horses

Beast of burden
Moonlight mile
Out of control
Live with me
Around and around
Little queenie

you forgot to bold some of em

The choice of songs being rehearsed is really fantastic. From the r'n'b days through the 60s pop era, through the 70s and then a couple of recent tunes. Perfect. Let's keep it like that.

To complete the rehearsals from yesterday :
Happy
Lady Jane (hoping this one will make the cut on the 25th)
She's so cold
Fool to cry

No rehearsals on saturday and sunday

Thanks for your information! What do you mean, it "crashed"? They stopped in the middle, because something went wrong or because they seemed to have no fun with it or what? How did Keith sound on Gimme Shelter and Happy? Did you hear Little Queenie from the day before?

Was my first day on rehersals.
I arrived at the mddle (gimme shelter).

crash : stopped in the middle. Beginning was as on 'one plus one',
maybe its the reason they crashed the song in the middle smiling smiley.
Gimme shelter was almost good.
Happy was (for me ) a disaster, i hardly recognised the song !
Paint it black was paint in greysad smiley.
Fool to cry (played twice) was good.

Quand on est là-bas au PL on est littéralement hypnotisé par... l'antenne-rateau façon années 60 qui trône au sommet d'une hampe interminable.

So shocking! On se croirait dans un vieil épisode des "Cinq denière minutes" >grinning smiley<

Errrrr.... I'd rather not translate!

I was making light fun of the fact that the rehearsal spot they've settled in the suburbs of Paris may be high-tech inside but the building itself is not exactly posh or 21st century. It's more like a 1960's architecturally nondescript large 2-floor house that's been converted into a practice space for musicians.

It has a "banlieue" feeling that may be quite surprising when you go to the place for the very 1st time. Imagine a world-level practice space located in the burbs of Munich that would be built inside a montain chalet, complete with platsic dwarves at the door entrance.

It must certainly be a far cry from the super-modern rehearsal spaces you find in L.A. or NYC.

"Paint it grey", too little power, too tame? Happy: Keith has still problems with singing and playing at the same time, I suppose? Although I know the movie One plus One, I don't quite get what you mean confused smiley Gimme Shelter was almost good - that's promising. smiling smiley Hopefully they will be ready on November 25.

Maybe the issue was that blue turned to grey?

SFTD HAS 2 LOW POINTS in the last performances:
. Jagger's intro screaming like a mouse (like in SAL film)
. Richard's solo

So it is better tu bury this old warhorse and play another thing instead

true...but the drum loop has been surprisingly vibrant on the past few tours. for some reason it hasn't diminished...

The Rolling Stones have never played so many songs since they started rehearsing at the beginning of October, after "Lady jane" they had a tea break and then it felt like a real gig.
This is also the first time that they are rehearsing "Satisfaction"

A "real gig" of 15 songs? Hum...could that mean there will be another show before they head out or at least before the O2 shows?
