Mick should stick a bit more to the melody, though.

And once and for all: Keith Richards is back in the game (if he ever was out, that is ) grinning smiley

NO NO NO!!!!

It is melodically a stupid children/pop song made for the ringos of the world to sing, so let him rape it like they once did back in the day.... The attitude, man! The Stones!! Brian Jones!!!

(even Dylan once made fun of that song...)

OK, let me re-phrase that: Mick should stick to the melody A BIT LONGER.

It's hard to keep the roll up that long when you're 70, LOL!

Raping it or not, in 1963 Mick stuck to the melody all the way thru, with a growl - easy on that Koskenkorva - it's not meant to be sipped for lunch, Doxa! smileys with beer

I can't believe they're actually rehearsing this one - brilliant!!!

If I thought they could actually play those songs in a faster mode I may want to see them. But I suspect this is going to be just a money thing and watching Keith pose through two hours may not be worth it. Since they are just playing the 4 shows maybe they can rekindle some of the old magic. But Keith has been so full of himself the last decade I am not so sure he can pull it off. I hope they can.
Also It sounds like they are going to use a stage that is similar to the one the played on at the super bowl. which looked pretty cool if everyone remember that

Sounds like Keith is playing all the way through on I Wanna Be Your Man. He fvcks up the first harmony on the first chorus, and then plays brilliantly throughout. Interesting that he sticks to open G.

Much better, sounds more like the Stones rather than like another Dogshit in the doorway.

"Dogshit in the doorway" belle expression, dommage qu'elle ne soit pas de toi mais de Razor ... Il convient de citer ses sources quand on manque d'inspiration ... Amen.

Hum, c'est pas plutôt de Keith?

I'm wondering if this is the song they're picking up?

the lyrics certainly make sense.

Chorus

C G
one more shot just for old times
C G
one last stand
C G
one more hit ought to do it
D G
then I quit while I can

French rock journalist Philippe Manoeuvre writes that they are rehearsing in the Paris Area...can't be too much longer until we find out for sure. Based on the pics it must be some kind of concert hall...

They have (had) very much of an inside leak in Paris, with those pictures.

I wonder if he or she has been uncoverd. Can you imagine Mick sitting down demanding every techs and every cleaning lady's phone to check if the pics are still on there? grinning smiley

I suppose the audio is not from the same source as the pics since the quality of that is a bit like eardropping from the outside.

Who's handwriting is the setlist?

Hi all, great to be back...

please forgive me if this is a doublette:

L'Angelo form RockerParis gave me the information, that "the Stones are leaving for London right now, so there will be no further setlists until next Thursday!"

They also have today's setlist from the rehearsals:

October 16

1. Champagne & Reefer
2. Route 66
3. It's only Rock'n'Roll
4. Live With Me
5. When The Whip Comes Down
6. Champagne & Reefer (again)
7. Doom & Gloom
8. Miss You
9. Midnight Rambler
10. Jumping Jack Flash
11. Just My Imagination
12. Going To A Gogo
13. Waiting On A Friend
14. No Expectations
15. Street Fighting Man
16. She's So Cold
17. Beast Of Burden

Lot's of Tattoo You stuff, right? spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I have to say, they've been rehearsing a lot of songs they didn't play on the last tour, which is very promising. Let's hope a good number of them make it into the actual setlist.

lets hope they play them on the ppv because thats the only show i will be at

Hopefully they will have weeded out the songs that don't work before the pay per view
