Come on man, this is no kindergarden. Do you really think the special Keith/Ron/Mick J. - "diet" makes them look more younger or even more healthy. No way! Mr. Taylor doesn´t look like a rock star because he has decided for himself that he is no rockstar or just don´t want to be a rockstar! In my eyes he´s a very relaxed person that doesn´t give a shit about "showbiz" anymore! But one thing is for sure: He´s cool like a rockstar should be! Give him the respect he deserves ....

BTW: Nice pics Norbert, I was there too, the guy standing behind the "stage" on the fourth picture is the minister!

Ha ha...I've got the utmost respect for Taylor, and really wish him the very best - he deserves a far better ending to his musical career than these venues he is working. But, I stand by my comment that the guy needs to go on a diet - not for aesthetic reasons, but for health reasons. I don't think you can include Mick J in the same sentence as Keith and Ron when discussing diets. Jagger is obsessive about what he eats and has been that way since the 70's. Imagine what Jagger would look like if he was over weight!

Great pictures. Thanks.
Was the concert in a church ? Big organpipes in the back. Looks like a great venue.

Yeah, looks like a church - or is a church.

Good to see Mick T being musically active.

Maybe he plays in smaller venues, but at least he plays some music and doesn't just pose in front of the camera and talk's about being rusty and wanting to jam.

Yes, it is in a protestant church in dortmund, not a "deactivated" one, this one is still alive, with church services, etc. The church is in a quarter with many immigrants and "poor" people, they want to go on as a church with events like these, the concept is called "culture church" .... even nada surf played this venue .... and Ben Waters the boogiewoogie on the church organcool smiley

My thoughts exactly Hansie. Bet is sounded GREAT.

He seems to have switched from the Craftsman socket wrench slide (gift from Lowell George) to a glass one. And he sure wears that slide differently than he used to, looks like it's about to fall off his finger. What up with that Mathijs, any clue? peace

Nice pics, but regarding the scarf thing: Cool in 1972. Ridiculous affectation in 2012.

Not bad, although it's sad to see Taylor playing blues in a church with a little band like this...

Sad? I would be happy to see him play blues in a church with a little band like this... Well, I know what you mean, of course :-).

It's the same church where Charlie Watts was playing with Ben Waters about three months ago.

To elaborate a little: Taylor needs fresh material, a good band and some great venues to play in. Agree?

Playing with Ben Waters Band in this church in Dessau was all this:
great venue, good band and all new songs (bar one).

On the other hand I know what you mean.

Hardly much fresh material there, for either Taylor or Waters, but I know what you mean - I'm glad it was a great show, as it obviously was. I haven't seen any clips of Taylor in ages playing as good as this thumbs up

It looks to me like that is a great venue. Don't you want to see your favorite musicians play in an intimate space with phenomenal acoustics?

Yeah, it probably was a fine venue with good acoustics. The clip might not have done justice to neither the sound or the church itself.

It looks better in the pictures smiling smiley

Here is a picture from the venue. It's not too sharp, but you can clearly see that it was a very nice venue to be.
