No problem with downloading mp3's, etc. But I too hope that a CD is available, I still buy CD's.

same with me,without regarding myself as oldfashioned or old schooled.....

In case you don´t buy the Live In Texas DVD/CD combo you miss for example a nice booklet
full of `75 pictures....maybe they could ´ve add Taylor somewhere as well....

In my earlier post I craved the official release of the Brussels Affair to listen to on a high-end cd system.

I feel, like the Delaney & Bonnie & Friends concerts from 1969, the On The Road Look live album by Tony Joe White, that it could be, possibly, reissued by Rhino Handmade or Hip O Select.

I have also purchased Allman Bros Band archive cds from the Hittinthenote website, and feel that that could be option 2. The stonesarchive website to have cds available in limited amounts. One Allman Bros cd from 1973 has Chuck Leavell on keyboards, so perhaps he could tell Mick and Keith that archive cds are a good idea.

It would make perfect sense to have limited availability CDs, or archive cds only available from a Stones archive website. Some of the Allman cds are bootleg quality, but are deeply enjoyable and highlight the band from the Duane era 1970-1971: the five man era after the loss of Duane, circa Eat A Peach 1972. At one stage, on a 1970 archive cd, the recording cuts out partially through Stormy Monday Blues, and that track lasts only 5 minutes. Therefore, it would be great even to reissue archive recordings with glitches on them, but preferably on CD.

It never fails.
"Open the vaults, please let us get this material anyway we can it!"
"okay, vaults opening with 5 new live releases and a second batch of studio outtakes"

"Download only!?!? Overdubbed new vocals!?!? You must hate your fans."

As long as we have FLAC's I can live with the lack of physical release... unless Jagger asks Claude Gassian to open his photo vaults. Iirc he shot both gigs so he could provide enough pix to make a nice booklet.

Now that'll be a good idea. Meanwhile; here are 2 photos from Brussels oct 17th 1973, 1st show (not 100% certain!)

A CD would be very nice indeed. CDs are much easier to archive than downloads, simply because they last longer than harddrives.

I still miss the Brussels Affair CD.

I know I'm rather conservative but two (paid) attempts to download the album failed completely. No idea about what went wrong. And a very expensive vinyl issue is no alternative because I no more have a decent record player.

Rather sad, isn't it, especially if you consider that it is one of the greatest live recordings of all time (judged from the bootlegs, I never have heard the official recording).

Vinyl + some 7" singles please

go out and make your own.

How can one go out and make his own LPs?

[This should be good]

To my knowledge there are vinyl machines available to the public. If my memory is correct the price was around 2000 dollars.

saltoftheearth - send me a mail (click on my username) and I'll give you the official Brussels files! (Tried to contact you privately, but you don't have a mail address listed)

Is there a LEGAL way to get the Flac version of ALL of the archive releases here in the U.S.?
