I wish someone would have rescued him with a (prop) guitar. But really it's nice to see Keef anytime, though he seemed very nervous.

It almost seems as Keith himself feels so lucky to be standing, alive that these awards and recongnition makes himself very proud. It was a great biography.

He always seems nervous whether he is accepting an award or presenting it to someone.
And nowadays when he seems to be quite sober in his appearances, he seems almost shy (for ex. nypl).

yeah it's sweet that after all these decades he still gets camera-shy and tongue-tied

Without the guitar, Keith is still that shy kid with big ears.
It's one of his most endearing qualities.
Good thing too - if he had made some obnoxious speech, i would have been irritated.

Thanks for posting the video. However I am puzzled and do not know what to think about Keith. On one hand he acts funny on the other hand he is totally stupid. Either is brain is much more damaged than one thought or he's smart enough to play the rock and writers role which I doubt at the moment.

Robbie's comment was funny, however I checket his other videos and did not know that he is so rude as a comedian. You should try an laugh about yourself and your country before you smash the mirror and have no glue what you're talking about. I liked him as an actor but here he seems ridiculous. I got humor, but not his.

Don't think it's either brain-damage or acting - he looks genuinely embarrassed to be making a formal acceptance speech to an audience of (presumably) serious heavy-duty writers and critics, without drugs or alcohol to put him more at ease or even a guitar to hide behind. It still comes as a surprise how shy Keith can be in some situations - but he is. And it isn't in his nature to have a speech ready prepared.

Glad to see that James Fox was properly credited - but I'd have liked to hear what he had to say.
