Because I've always liked the outtake version and the song structure and melody are still the same
yep got it -- sounds good. more finished definitely.. maybe lost a bit of the original outtakes charm but thats probably just over familiarity.

quick reaction: not as bad as feared. mick does a reasonable facsimile of his faux-country vox from the era...thankfully very little of his modern mannerisms....having said that...not sure what was wrong with the original vocal...but that's mick fer ya....

I like it.
I mean, he didn't overdo it. And no refining can better the melody, which I find a bit repetetive, missing a really strong refrain.
It still sounds like an outtake, but it's great to have this rehashed version, at least sounding a little more finished than before.

It´s is a "nice" countrysong, but as i posted before, a little bit boring ... the vocals are new, i think, the rest: we will never know! We can´t compare it to the bootlegversion, because we don´t know which take was used for the release! But the song and his mood fits to some girls, and this is the main thing!
