....will there come a day when Stones collectors talk of rare down-loads??????

I think the rare downloads are the ones where you pays your money, and the link doesn't work.

I guess what's collectible in that example is the broken link.

They're always 'good for it though'...all's you have to do is give them your credit card info and telephone number and address.

I'm expecting a new download link any day.

I don't have these Steffie...thanks for posting.

I understand they were made for the UK export market. Do you happen to know 'what' that market actually was? Europe, Asia? Was it specific countries.

Just curious as I'm aware that are a couple of others, OOOH and Have You Seen Your Mother Live? as examples. Are there any other than those?

Thanks

On my opinion, it was made for the Dutch market.
Have You Seen Your Mother Live is made for the Scandinavian market.

OK, I thought I'd invite you up to my attic, and share some rare 'etchings' with you:

These I think are fairly unique. They are all jukebox singles from the Bridges Album, 2 Saint of Me, 1 Anybody Seen My Baby, 1 Out of Control, and finally one Gimme Shelter live, backed with Gimme Shelter by Tom Jones and the New Model Army (obviously this is not from Bridges).

They're 'supposed' to be jukebox singles but who in 1997 was using jukeboxes playing 45's?

Anyone have any info on these? Anyone else have any? Anyone aware of any other's done in this monochromatic 'etched' style instead of paper labels?

They are very cool, all Virgin etched singles, with the exception of the Gimme Shelter, which is EMI etched.

Yeah Treacle I got 2 or 3 of the Love Is Strong/The Storm etched singles....
Use to get from a juke-box supplier so they were actually made for Juke-Boxes...

Nice closeup, thanks Rockman...I found these kind of hard to get a clear shot on. Thanks also for the info on the jukeboxes. I wonder why these were made 'special' for jukeboxes where it seems that was never the case in the past?

I've never seen any others, other than the 4 I've described, the 3 from Bridges and the one from 1993, with Tom Jones and the New Model Army on one side.

BTW, looks like you could use a dust jacket for yours...get on it mate!

Although I've collected for about 30 years, since She's So Cold, I only really started myself with the rare stuff 5-6 years ago, and I started with the 45's and the picture sleeves as well, especially US.

I did branch out though to LPs after that. I have a great copy of Let It Bleed...an Aussie pressing with the open DECCA maroon label, and autographed on the sleeve by Mick Taylor.

I'll dig it out and post a copy soon.

Come on! Does that holy grail even exist? Also, if it does I presume it is in a BOXED DECCA label and a UK pressing?

Do you have a photo of it as I've never seen that one before?

Maybe the Australian red decca stereo label but i don't think YY's exist in mono!
I have an one sided Apple acetate with 4 songs from YY in mono but on my knowledge, the album are never pressed in mono. LIB was the last one.

I have a Bruce Springsteen jukebox 45 from Italy that was released in 2001.

How rare is this one? stones7.com lists a value of €125 for it, but I've recently seen copies on eBay failing to get bids under $30...

Andreas

-Jumping Jack Flash
-Carol
-Sympathy for the devil
-Street fighting man

Unfortunately, there is a big deep scratch on the song Carol, so the first half part of the song is not playable. The other 3 songs are in VG condition.
