Don't swop guitars, buy a VOX DA5 and change the amp model, DI into the soundcard.
Actually there's lots of amp modelling out there, but I think the Vox DA5 is simple and perfect.
(Yeah I know people will go on about micing up real valve amps and in an ideal world that's what I would do. But I've got neighbours...)

I am no serious guitar player, but it is my great hobby. A couple of weeks ago I actually created a youtube channel, mainly to motivate myself to learn the whole songs, since I realized that I pretty much always learned the main riff but was not able to put together any song as the whole. So I started to learn the remaining parts in order to upload some videos on youtube, I started with some U2 tunes (please don't throw stones at me :-) ) and on Sunday I added Brown Sugar. Start Me Up will hopefully follow this week and some more Stones in the next weeks, as time allows.
As for the guitars - I don't have so many to choose from, so for anything in standard tuning I have a Fender Strat, for open G I have a Tele (but it is a Squier - hopefully I will get a Fender Tele some day) and then I have a black Squier Strat for anything else.
+1
And here is my channel with the rest of the videos: [www.youtube.com]

71Tele
I use mostly a '71 Tele, a '57 Les Paul Jr. (for open G), for Stones stuff. I also use a Telecaster Custom. Had a Mustang Bass, but didn't like it. Stones bass sounds good on my Vox Sidewinder. for acoustic I use a 1964 Gibson Country & Western.

Here are some of my Stones covers. Be kind, this is a beginning rock band class.
Can't You Hear Me Knocking
(I'm on the right; most of this is dreadful, but I did okay on the solo, starts at 3:55)

LOL, oh yes. Excellent.
We have recorded King Bee and You`re better Man than I -The Yardbirds (now on YouTube) and several other songs in R&B , Motown and early 60`s rocknroll style.I`d love to record more Stones songs but my voice has different range than Mick`s and i`m rather guitarist than vocalist. It is real pleasure for me and my band to hear such compliments from Stones fans.Quote

'What a shame' cover. Very good!! I like those 'draggy', 'echoe-y' vocals!! I would buy your cd for sure. Nice!
