I don't think you've quite grasped the point of this, it's got f*ck all to do with being a nanny state or anything like that...to be honest when it comes to women, I couldn't give a rats arse how many or who he chooses, the sad part is, he had just got back into playing well again and painting - the two things which make m happy and his fans happy...this russian chick has nasty habits which Ron will also fall back into and considering he was told give up the booze or you'll be dead in 6 months etc it would seem a shame. You can forget Faces gigs etc if Ronnie goes back to it

No, I believe very little from the tabloids, but when it comes to Ronnie and the tabloids, they've got it right the last few stories, and if this is a load of bollocks then Ronnie will be on a nice cash earner when he sues them, but I bet he doesn't.

I'm still trying to figure out exactky how he is self destructing? By staying sober,playing good music and being in a relationship with a hot looking girl? Maybe I should try and self destruct then.

I think the inference is that Ekatrina is a bad influence and therefore would lead him back to the booze..which his current lady has managed to keep him off. Ronnie went down hill very quickly when he was hanging around Ekatrina the last time and only got healthy, sober and creative when he split from her.

C'mon guys, it's no surprise. It was pretty obvious at the Boogie for Stu gig in London last month he was coked up, even if he was playing well.

Lady Jayne, I'm not too concerned about Ron's coke intake, what I don't want to see is him back on the booze - that is what will kill ronnie and that will be such a shame as he is an extremely talented musician and painter. But, as many have said on this thread, it's kinda expected in a rock and roll lifestyle. I'm fine with this, if he was in his 20's 30's or even 40's but at his age and having had a 6 month warning if he didnt quit alcohol its sad. Ronnie is like a little boy and needs a strong woman to keep him in line a 'la Jo Wood or whatever the Brazilian girl is called!

and how do you know that? do you know ronnie and his current lady personally? maybe ron had a sip of wine during dinner once. just because the tabloids haven't reported it doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

I don't know it, I remember seeing photos of ron when he was with her pissed out of his head and later quotes from ron himself saying they went off the rails a bit. Surely you all remember him dragging her down the street by her hair ! That isn't the actions of a sober ronnie.
