I put the Beach Boys 1971 - 78 up there with any of 'em.

I can't believe Springsteen tops most of those other acts. He's a great composer and all that, but number one on the concert scene?

Have you ever seen him live? I have seen him only once, but have to say that he truly deserves to pe put on the top of that list. That concert was the best I have ever seen and I believe it will stay that way, since as much as I am lookig forward to the possible Stones' tour and I am sure it will be great, I doubt it will be the best ever.

My opinion is also given by the fact that the first time I saw The Stones was in 2003. If I have seen them earlier, I might have another opinion. As much as I enjoyed all the three Stones' shows I have attended, Bruce was simply better as a live act. I don't compare the songs, the legacy and so on.

I agree, I thought they would be higher. I have to admit, I'm not sure who I would add to the list . . . I mean I not in any way a Kiss fan confused smiley but I have to respect their live show, even though I never saw them, just like Led Zepp never saw them but I agree that they are on the list . . .

For me its:

1. Stones
2. Zeppelin
3. Dead
4. The Who
5. Pink Floyd
6. Pearl Jam (yes indeed, thats no mistake they made that list and in the company of those classic bands . . .)
7. everybody else in what ever order . . . cool smiley

The list sounds pretty good to me, I guess you could fuss with the order based on your own preference.

Kiss definitely belongs on that list. I've seen all their early tours and IMO they put on a fantastic live show, some of the best I've ever seen back then.

Pretty accurate list except for Kiss being anywhere on it. But the top 2 are right on.

Your list appears to be biased to your personal tastes rather than objective to all acts in general.

The Beatles on the greatest live acts list??? Not even in the top 25. Their best live show was probably the rooftop gig and that was only a couple songs off the cuff.

Believe it, no one better when it comes to live shows.

Pink Floyd number 4??? , Take away the props and it just a few blokes standing sill, I know the stones and U2 have used their share of stage props for Stadiums as well but they both can put on a great show without them,

"Rolling Stone Reader's" gives you a clue as to the quality of the list to follow........

KSIE's pick (also gives you a clue of what's to follow):

J. Geils Band

I'd totally agree with that. I forgot about them. The problem with J. Geils is that they were sort of underground not mainstream for voting audiences.

I would put them in the top 5.
