Instead of a tour, I'd rather see "The Definitive Legacy"

Instead of a tour, I'd rather see some "academical effort"...to make the "The Definitive Legacy of The Rolling Stones".

Not only for the die-hard fans, but also you can offer the final result - for example -to The National Library of Music, or some another Rock&Roll museum...To put The Rolling Stones on the same level as Mozart and so on...

1/ a beautiful designed ABCKO/Decca/London box-set, including THE COMPLETE 1963-1969 studio-sessions, in chronological order (150 CD's?). "Not Fade Away" take 1 -12, "The Lantern" take 1-44, "Gold Painted Nails" take 1-21 and so on....Just everything they have recorded in the 60's...

2/ a beautiful designed ABCKO/Decca/London box-set, including the COMPLETE 1963-1970 CONCERTS.... (150 cd's? 175 cd's? I don't care...)

3/ idem dito Rolling Stones Records 1970-2012 (another 150 CD's?)...."When The Whip Comes Down", take 1-55, "She's So Cold, take 1-99, just everything

4/ idem dito Rolling Stones Records COMPLETE LIVE-RECORDINGS 1971-2007...(let's say 500+ CD's)?

Including:

* liner notes (who plays what? producer/engineer, technical information, etc etc)
* pictures of every session / concert, all kinds of details...
* list of official releases in every country...
* pictures of every LP/EP/single sleeve...
* and so on....

Any more ideas? (or is this another invitation for some pretty stupid jokes?)

I like your idea but why can't we have this AND a tour?

Give me everything mentioned above on a deluxe 32 terabyte RAID array with a giant tongue on it! It had better come with a guitar pick also.

Note.... If you had 50,000 MP3s on your computer, chances are you would never have a chance listen to all of them before you die.

You had better put waterproof speakers in your shower.

Life is short!

My pick would be more reasonable :

For each tour : a complete concert + all the songs played on this tour but not featured on the selected complete show + guest spots.

Licks Tour deserves a special format : 1 complete stadium / arena / club + the complements

They can do extensive 1989/90, 1994/1995, BtB, No Security, Licks and ABB sets

They can also do soemthing cool with the "club shows" from 1995 which do not reflect the Voodoo Lounge Tour and could deserve a specific "stripped" box

I think a three volume Anthology DVD set is needed - like the Beatles only bigger.

Vol 1 - 60's (up to and including Altamont)
Vol 2 - 70's (Sticky fingers to ??? SG/78 or ER)
Vol 3 - 80's and beyond

They certainly have enough material.

The absolute key thing here is.. it's needs to be HONEST.

Warts and everything. WWIII and all the other stuff.

They owe it to history and themselves.

It MIGHT not be that far from becoming a reality. We see that the Stones have already put out feelers towards help from the fans, and the guys hip on the boots.

Yes. I would like all songs unreleased both studio and live.
