In october 2000, during the Festina trial, he first denied having been doped but finally recognized it.
Well, for one, he never apologized.

Besides doping there is another thing with professional cycling that I always found hard to accept: Only a few "stars" are set up to win; the other cyclist are really there to help them win. If you are not a "star" and do too good you will be disciplined.

Can't wait for the mountains!

All of Contador's main rivals don't come from
racing the Giro and in theory they should have
more legs. We'll see...

Thank you for posting those maps (and any other cool stuff you see too) Hansie, they are helpful.

I used to think Andy Schleck would win again* this year, but now I'm thinking Cadel Evans stands a very good chance as well. We'll just have to wait and see what happens once they get to the real mountains. Those two are definitely the main contenders. At gunpoint I'd probably still put my money on Schleck.

*As we all know, Contador tested positive last year, so once the legal bullshit is over he'll be stripped of his "victory", so 2010 was in fact Schleck's first.

So this means that if Lance A. is proven guilty there will be 7 new Tour winners
and some of them will be third place finishers cause Ulrich was also doping.

It seems highly unlikely that all seven victories would be taken away from him, but yes, this is a theoretical possibility.
