Keno is not the best source for this kind of information.
I still would like to know from Mathijs which source, because there are obviously different statements. And only saying Keno (or whatever source) is "not the best source" has no meaning at all.
I was trying to be kind to Keno--or, really, to people here who use Keno's site seriously. The knowledgeable posters here (use your own judgment to decide on these) are far more reliable.

Okay, I'll take a very careful listen once more and concentrate on the guitars before the jamming-solo. In fact I'm an expert in listening and thus as knwowledgeable as any knowledgeable person here, so that will do the job if there's not any objective and just source (as so often re The Stones).

My source is my ears.
Concerning the two rhythm guitars: it's clearly Keith on both guitars.
Mathijs
ps about cu'n''t: it's either "kissing cvnt in Cannes" or "kissing cut in Cannes", there is clearly no 's' in 'cans'. Listening over and over while isolating the vocals actually makes me start to believe they indeed sing 'kissing cut in Cannes'.

OK, and what about "skip rope"?
I vote for "slit throat".

sorry rumple, but many of "your" lyrics just don't fit at all, and don't sound anything like the recorded version.

Can someone just ask Mick or Keith and resolve this. Maybe BV has a take on it.

Le cote d'azur.
It's without any doubt Kissing cut in Canne(s). No S pronounced in Cannes, neither by Mick nor by Keith, so they mean the city of Cannes without any doubt. It's like Tele already said: a hint to movies, without further sexual allusions to what or whoever (unless one takes the Kissing word as such). Sorry people, no double meaning, no Mick-Bianca-Anita hints, no drugged up rock and roll sex. Just an interesting, expressive impression of Le cote d'Azur and its specialties (casinos, richness, movies, heat, slowness etc.) When you, like me, ever were there more than once then you recognize it quite well).
Problem solved.

. he sings " Cut in Cannes " (The "s" at the end of Cannes doesn't have to be pronounced , you must pronounce it " can " )

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

As for Canne(s), we were talking about its pronunciation in English/by the Glimmers, not in French, Madame Swaytones.
