Im Glad that New Orleans Won, I thought the Who were good, one of the better half time shows I've seen. It seemed like they played longer than the stones.

Hello,

Just watched the half-time show, initially through my fingers but I gotta say that the kids(!) were alright.
The seventh member last night was the light-show:absolutely fantastic.

From a very, very nervous and hopeful first viewing it was hard to tell, but was the only tape-assisted bit Rog's WGFA scream?I dunno but I am pretty pleased with what they did out there...congratulations fellas!

Cheers,

Si.

thanks, shortfatfanny - loved that! Pete is still King of the Windmill and Zak does indeed have some cool cymbals, but what a great drummer he is. Nice stage - wonder if it was designed to fit their logo around it. That was cool, too.

Explain?

It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Roger's voice held up fine, but The Who's songs aren't really suited to the medley treatment.

'Best halftime show ever?' No, sorry. That was Prince.

While I enjoyed Prince, Stones, The Who and Bruce...in my opinion Tom Petty put on the best halftime show.

The sound was all over the place,(perhaps not the bands fault) Daltry's voice sounded strained and the whole trying to cram as many songs as possible medley thing was a bit vegas.

The look on Jeremy Shockey's face during & after the game pretty much sums it up:

Congrats to EG & SS. The game was very entertaining despite the overproduction, excessive unnecessary commercial breaks and always annoying ongoing jingle by CBS.

I thought PT was awesome and collectively The Who were good. Raw and energetic guitar sound made the difference. Of course, we basically knew what we were getting with song selection. Therefore, performance is judged from a spectator's standpoint.

Commercial featuring Leno, Oprah, and Letterman was questionable if not odd.

Thanks to the NFL referee crew for not over officiating and altering the outcome. For example, if that 2 point play was not corrected a different mindset for the Colts might have come in play.

Again I'm very happy for our Louisiana constituency.

Hey SCL some bookie called and is looking for ya!! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

The sound seemed great to me

Daltry sang far better than expected.

PT played an absolute blinder

Vegas? Bahhhh......

"The Who will be compensated tomorrow when they will get the 550 percent increase in catalog sales that the halftime act always gets the day after the game."

did that happen to the stones catalog too??

Good game... sort of breaks one's heart that Manning threw the pick-6 to seal it, no?

Congrats to the Who Dats.

(get it?... 'who' dats, as in 'the who', you know, the band that played at the halftime)

Roger was blatantly lip synching during Won't get fooled. Seemed like he was singing live for the other songs.

Exactly...........that was very obvious.

I don't know what the hell some of these folks were watching that are giving rave reviews.

The clip above is always a good start!!

You'd give your eye teeth for either of 'the boys' to play as well as PT!!

They did seem to be enjoying themselves. I thought Pete assisted more w/the lyrics.Light show was awesome. I'm happy they didn't have the wannabe's around the stage making spectacles of themselves. Cool concept.

I thought the halftime show was great.
The stage was super cool.
The Who sounded great. My only complaint is that Pete continues to wear sport coats on stage and they continually get in the way of the windmill!

Love Live Rock.

To the complainers, what else would you like to see at halftime? The Jonas Brothers? Taylor Swift? Beyonce? I'm glad the organizers have been on a Rock and Roll bent the last number of years. Don't bitch.

The Who was bloody awful and I love their music. The vocals were clearly taped and Daltrey's voice still sounded strained. Roger and Pete seemed out of sync. The sound was awful. Pete did play a few nice solos. AS far as they looked like they were enjoying themselves. They've played together for a 100 years. It's the same fake look they always have.
