Gee - whizz, what a bunch of whiners. had to check if I accidentally joined the Bon Jovi forum^^
Don't Stop has some great sounding twang-guitars around a strong pumping open G riff.
Ronnie plays unique and loveable solo lines around the riff, while Keith pokes & stabbs in, out and around it. How can that be generic?
Mick, Charlie and Darryl keep it on the pumping level.
It's a great little song and I can see where the enjoyment of playing it live comes from.

I just don't understand why some people get so damn passionate in their hatred of it.

Why so many Track Talks all of a sudden? Is there nothing else to talk about?

It's my fault. Recently I had a little free time on my hands and decided to start giving my two cents on a few Track Talks. I enjoyed doing it so much (thanks René!!) that I decided to go through all of them.
Don't worry, I'm almost done ... just have the "F's and G's" left (they're only up to "Gomper" so far).

To Her Coy Mistress is a Lover's Plea:
Now let us sport us while we may,
And now, like amorous birds of prey,
Rather at once our time devour
Than languish in his slow-chapped power.
Let us roll all our strength and all
Our sweetness up into one ball,
And tear our pleasures with rough strife
Through the iron gates of life:
Thus, though we cannot make our sun
Stand still, yet we will make him run.
(gonna walk, before we make him run)
By comparison, Don't Stop is a traffic sign.

it's more than a traffic sign if you take the interpretation i describe above!
