Hot Stuff is still the old format, even though I tried format change to classic , it is not the way it used to be and not at all to my liking.
I'll check back later to see if it as easy to view as it was previously

I think a better approach to introducing this new Forum Design would have been an official announcement by bv using the Sticky post. The Classic design should have been kept as the default setting and the current design designated as a new option.

Justin....Why not this idea??

I think it's great.

Time for a change, I say....the old look was getting a bit stale. Hopefully BV sticks with it and eventually everyone will get used to it...

This new forum default has made a complete mess of all the stones gear threads, ratbag boogie and the many, many article/photo threads like ROCKMAN's mammoth Some kinda stones connection and my own The Rolling Stones photo thread.

Hours and hours of peoples time went in to making such threads great sources of information and/or sources for very rare photographs, but the new layout has chopped them all up and completely ruined them. thumbs down sad smiley

No offense to the admin but the new board design is hideous.

Yup I guess that'll work too. But yeah some heads up on the new design would've probably been good for people to "prepare" for this.

Sorry to hear that...hopefully BV will provide solutions soon.

I like it. Maybe not the green text (Should be plain black), but it looks way cool to me. I'm not changing back. I like the idea that you can choose for yourself, how IORR looks. That's a nice move BV. thumbs up

you could have been browsing IORR since February 08 with this template, it's been available since then.
I also believe it wasn't intended to be a nice move of BV, rather a glitch while updating the database of iorr.

it seems to be fact that modern browsers don't support this template , which is bad for security reasons.
Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.0.10 don't work properly.
IE 8 in compatabilty mode and IE 7 do work, but it's a bit of a stretch to downgrade your browser to visit a site.

anybody tried the latest versions of Opera, Chrome and other browsers?
please report your results.

I like the new design. It was definitely time for a change.

It's just like the Rolling Stones should make major changes to their setlists.

Hi all

I am now using Opera. I prefer the old layout. Its look and feel is more friendly and convenient. regards

Aha, so Opera also works, right?

As some idiot on a Beatles blog once said to me after quoting George Harrison, "No truer words have ever been spoken."

Opera, in my case, didn't capture all the original graphics.

I run IE 8, and I have to press the compability button to make it look like it did, in Classic mode.

Yeah, I like the old way best too. Font is WAY too big. You can't see as many topics without having to scroll.

The font is WAY too big indeed - as well as someones front, once - it falls better on the eyes when they're smaller

Give me a day or so to explore the new one, and I need some help from other brave people. I was on the top of Kilimanjaro last week, which means I am ready for new challenges. May be the new interface is tougher. I will see...

Sorry, BV, but even climbing the Kilimanjaro doesn't give you the right to do this...

you just move farther from the screen and it works out very nicely - i'm reading and writing right now from the back of the closet....

Erik I don't think BV did anything... change to the template for the forum, not connected with him.

Try resetting to Classic, deleting temporary internet files, restarting your computer... if not then a large hammer to the screen

Yeah, nothing works as far as selecting something else.

Have fun with this layout.

I'll check back in when the Stones either go on tour or release SOMETHING.

So I guess that could mean never ha ha.
