I think very under-rated! Paul wrote amazing songs with John, could play bass, drums and piano. John was more than adequate on guitar and piano and was a genius with lyrics. His simplicity was his strength. Ringo, oh well, 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Well, I'm not sure he was better than George on lead but he was (and is) very accomplished! George was more soulful, more fluid, example is " While My Guitar Gently Weeps". John was a rocker in the style of Chuck Berry when he let loose. Paul was my favorite Beatle back in the 60's but that was, I confess, because he was CUTE and I was YOUNG! As I got older, I paid more attention to George and John as musicians.
