I thought Tops was only played early in the 1981 North American Tour, first show in Philly and again in Buffalo two days later, then pretty much gone.

Easily one of my favorite all time tracks by the Stones with the "sha-doo-bee" line. Speaks to punk and early rap. Like a lot of Stones cuts with fast tempo, it is played too slow for my taste anymore. Love the version from "Texas '78".

In my opinion, this song sounds best when played at a fast tempo. I personally like the version from 1973 in Australia and Brussels. The version from the '78 tour is good as well, although it ends like a train wreck to some extent. Still, awesome power to it. The beauty of this track is that there are so many great versions, those mentioned from '69 as well as the studio and even

By the way, my highlight would have been "No Expecations" and would have exceeded my expectations for the show. Since they didn't play it I guess someone could say they didn't meet my expectations. Ah, that sounds like whining so I would say my highlight was Emotional Rescue, Doom and Gloom and without a doubt, the appearance and contributions of Mick Taylor on Midnight Ra

Thanks so much Stonehearted for sharing "No Expectations" They should have played this in Philly as it was up for the cyber vote. How it didn't win remains a mystery (and lost to Dead Flowers, seriously). What a great track that they hardly ever play. I wish this song replaced the tired "Wild Horses" or even "Angie" as the ballad that Mick plays about 1/3 t

Great show! Bummed they shortened the setlist again. They could have added just another 4-5 minutes and thrown in another gem from the 68-72 era or Some Girls track like they have been for most every show. Really pissed about the apparent rigging of the website choice song. No way Dead Flowers was chosen. That's probably the only song Paisley knew how to play. Then let him guest on t

Thank you! Almost started this same thread! REALLY REALLY REALLY want this song for the internet choice. Did I say really enough. Voted many times for No Expectations and hoping for the fans choice, without Brad Paisley. I guess that means we can forget about Sway or Can't you Hear Me knocking since we have a guest. If you can't pull yourself to vote for No Expectations then s

Ya Ya's - GREATEST LIVE ALBUM EVER RELEASED BY ANYONE! Okay, I'm a bit biased toward the Stones and there have been several outstanding live releases from other artists. If the Stones had ever officially released on record/cd either the Philly show in 1972 or the Brussels show the following year we might have a strong debate here. As it stands, despite the release on MP3 of Bruss

Ok, I'll post a realistic setlist, not one with every one of my favorites, has a good number of warhorses, but still is realistic to what they could play with a couple of "wishes" thrown in. 1. Honky Tonk Women 2. Get off my Cloud 3. Shattered 4. Doom and Gloom 5. Miss You 6. Out of Control 7. Memory Motel/Waiting on a Friend 8. Paint It, Black 9. Around and Aro

Subway is right outside the arena. Get a nice hotel room in Center City for probably half the cost of the crummy Holiday Inn.

Would love to hear Time Waits for No One or Moonlight Mile for Mick Taylor to play on, perhaps even Sway somthing to highlight Taylor besides Midnight Rambler. Cover song: Around and Around Hits song almost never played: No Expectations Would really love to hear [b]No Expectations]. Lady Jane was beautiful in London, Here in the US, we have never heard it live (unless maybe 1966).

They have 17 of the 18 shows listed. One more to come. With four shows already slated for the LA metro area, I figure one more show to be added to the two in the mid-Atlantic region, either Philly again (most likely) or they travel to NY or D.C. I also think the show will either be Sunday June 23rd or Monday June 24. They will need to depart for the UK in the early part of the week to prepare

Great job and congrats! I'm jealous that I was stupid enough to pay $100 + more per ticket and only I have seats marginally closer. This is why I hate these online slaes that only give "best available" per price range instead of telling you where the price changes are. If I had known I was only going to be a couple of sections farther from the stage and a few rows higher but sav

I got seats in sec 213 row 2 on the aisle. Good seats. Funny that I am in nearly the same section and same row for the Eagles show the following month and it cost 1/3 of the price. I guess one can argue the Stones are at least 3x better than the Eagles. I think you all are right about the $85 tickets. They will be on sale with the general public sale on Monday. My guess is they will annou

I apologize if someone already posted this info earlier. Here is my question: For the Citibank presale, are all price ranges available? Or, is the $85 price saved for the general sale? I understand why the $85 tickets should be saved for the general sale. I plan to try for the presale through Citibank. I guess if I am fortunate to score tickets I can always try to score two more on the ge

They will have the $85 tickets according to the Wells Fargo Center website. Don't know about a second show, but chances are very good they will. The arena is free and available up through Friday June 21st(six consecutive days) and with a very large market (and the NY market nearby without any shows at the moment) it should be a no brainer to add a second show. I don't see how they

No Expectations or Love In Vain if Taylor plays on these shows. Out of Control would be another great add. For Keith's obligatory two song set, he could give Happy a rest and play Coming Down Again. Time Waits for No One might be too much to ask even if Taylor is present

Sorry I didn't read the whole thread so I apologize if someone already mentioned this. Some of Let It Bleed was at least written and first recorded during the Beggars Banquet sessions. The sound is similar too with really only one guitarist, Keith, for most of the two albums. Combine those two (even though I love Sticky and the idead of combining Sticky and LIB would have been awesome) th

I agree with Palace here. Although I love Brussels for many reasons, (band's performance, quality recording) my favorite shows from this time period are the Australian shows in Perth and Sydney. The setlist mirrors the '72 North American tour, although it includes Honky Tonk Women and a blistering Little Queenie. Brussels focuses too much on GHS. I realize the album was just relea

I've ranked my Stones shows by a few different categories: Most excitement build-up to the show: Philly Sept.26, 1981 ( my first) a close second in this category, Philly Aug.31, 1989 (opening night, Steel Wheels) Best performance by the band (judging by the boots): Philly March 15, 1999 ( No Security tour) a close second, January 10, 2003 in Pittsburgh Civic Arena Favorite show o

I love the '72 tour, but '69 would be the year. No.1 single in HTW and No.1 album in Let It Bleed. Great tour with a couple of free shows. The scene really changed for them and everybody after '69. Not for the worse or better, but definitely different.
