Nice. Sounds like some of the watchit source is there too. Might have been copied by one of the bootleg labels.

Pretty sure the whole show is available from the soundboard. But it's not circulating.

The other circulating audience tape is here: 1969-12-06 - Part 7: The Rolling Stones - Altamont Speedway Free Festival. I don't think this guy (George Feist) is the one visible in the movie.

Don't want to be negative but... I'm a huge fan of this concert. After all, they played as if their lives depended on it. I've gone through many, many cassette dubs of this recording and I've heard better. I doubt this is first generation. The "tells" are the lack of treble on the first part and the amount of hiss on the second part, plus the missing end of Brow

Downloading now, looking forward to it. You can see a taper in the Gimme Shelter movie. He's a blond guy with glasses, right at the front. At one point he puts his tape recorder on top of one of the big monitors near Mick J.

I prefer the sequencing on Beat Beat Beat at the Beep, DAC-130. It has everything chronologically, instead of best quality tracks on CD1 and lesser quality tracks on CD2. I would say Definitive sounds slightly better on the best quality tracks and identical on the lesser ones. Either is better than the official release, sadly.

Always nice to see low gens from the golden era. You could download shows from the Stonesvault if you want to do your own comparisons.

Notes on the watchit source are below. I believe source 5 was not recorded by a radio station person; instead it was a fan who brought his tape into the radio station and they played it. The audio is now on YouTube with a picture of the cassette. Over the years there have been a number of different releases of the famous Rolling Stones concert at the Altamont Speedway, at the conclusion of t

The TMOQ guys taped the show. None of their tapes from that era circulate so the only source is the double LP. They either ran out of tape or decided that including Midnight Rambler would make the LPs too long and hurt the sound quality. I'm guessing they ran out of tape.

I've also heard this version from a radio broadcast source. Evidently the taper took it to a Bay Area radio station and they played it with commentary. Too bad the batteries were running down and apparently this is all that was recorded of the Stones.

QuoteLiveAtHidepark ... I am still looking for a record (that may not exist) : with original Lurch matrix AND TMQ lables first design (sideaway pig) . The real missing link between Lurch & TMQ. As I said, it may not exists at all. I used to have a green vinyl TMOQ small sideways pig "Made in Holland" label, made from the Lurch plates. Unfortunately it had a light scratch ac

Probably not as good as an original Lurch label LP. Those are the best. There are many, many vinyl copies made from it. I think that's what the Peace LP is.

QuoteTornandfrayed The Ya-Ya´s stuff is just the audio of the bonus DVD from the 2009 Super Deluxe Box Set. The DVD included alternate takes of the same tracks as on the bonus CD. There is nothing new here. Absolutely correct, I confirmed this just now. In fact the DVD has lossless audio so if you are computer savvy, you can extract the audio from it as a WAV file. From that you can convert t

Down Home Girl is the audience version as always. The whole thing is audience, but broadcast back in the day, rebroadcast 2016(?).

Thanks for reposting this, I missed it last time around. The first part is the source for the old Contra Band Music vinyl bootleg. I always wondered what their source was, since every other release of theirs (IIRC) was a copy of a previous bootleg LP. Mystery solved.

I used to own this but got rid of it years ago when the CDs came out. FYI Dieter Hoffman says it's all from this (per Nico's Complete Works website): 851130A 30th November: UK radio (BBC1) ‘Stones At The Beeb’. Host: Andy Peebles. Songs from the archives of BBC, originally aired in the 60’s. - Come On (Chuck Berry) -Saturday Club 23.9.63

Quotelukpac Quotedph After further review, the Ass Blaster Complete BBC Sessions appears to be a slightly modified and rearranged copy of DAC-130: Beat Beat Beat at the Beep. If you already have that, you probably don't need this. But I am glad to be able to compare; thanks for sharing. Update: Sounds like Ass Blaster used different sources or edits for the rebroadcast sources, but th
