Which '72 shows did he record? I think I have 2, Mobile and 1 other. Someone told me he also recorded one of the Houston shows, which don't circulate, and Tuscaloosa, which has an abysmal tape. Same person said he didn't expect these other Freezer shows to ever circulate. Dave

What you have is all that exists in that quality. That CD was put out by people who later became Vinyl Gang I believe. Midnight Rambler also exists from that broadcast(?) in slightly lower quality. The audience version of Newcastle is different and much lower quality. Same for Wembley. Dave

I put that together back in December 2004. Nice to see it's getting around. It's 2 CDs of Paris '65, '66 both shows, and '67 from original and rebroadcasts. I used the best available source for each song and crossfaded it all together. Some of it is from a tape VGP never got :-). I'm told DAC has already used it for a 1CD Paris release. Dave

Did anyone download Altamont from "Sharing the Groove" last year before it was closed down? Did their version have the complete Brown Sugar and/or the intro to Midnight Rambler? Both are missing on the VGP version. Was it the usual fake stereo or mono? thanks, Dave

There's a CDR going around which is supposedly off the master, but I doubt it. Has audible noise reduction. Runs too fast also. I imagine VGP copied it for Drippin' Honey, which was of course the title of an '80s German LP. I'm working on getting a 2nd gen. tape. The first 1.5 songs don't exist. That's painfully obvious from the way the tape starts. Dave
