QuoteTopi Would be interesting to know the story of this leak. There's a dog barking at the end of Depending On You. Someone was listening to these songs somewhere and recorded them on their phone or something? Pet Sounds 2 confirmed

It looks absolutely tacky. They should have had the three of them do the EN Hitmakers pose on a black background. The Stones hasn’t had a good artwork since Some Girls if we only talk studio albums. Count everything in and I’d say maybe Some Girls Live In Texas.

Did I miss something, or is Mick Taylor not a guest on the album? I thought they’d have him on a song… a bit of a shame when he’s still around and still playing good. It’s shaping up to be a cool album with great guests and even Rolling Stone Blues (I cannot wait to hear that one). All that taken into account, Taylor should have added a few licks in my opinion. Too bad, but it doesn’t take awa

QuoteGazza QuoteJumpingKentFlash Are they really having a cover of Rolling Stone Blues on it? Brings the story full circle, if true. The song that inspired their name and they finally release a version of it 61 years later on what could well be their final studio album We know that this mysterious 'Morning Joe Cues' was registered as a song title with the publishers. Can we

The song is great, though a tad, just a teeny weeny tad, underwhelming in all its Wandering Spiritesque Jagger-At-his-noisiest. But I like it, it’s good! The video… I will never understand the need for a young lady dancing through it all. The billboards coming alive is a cool effect, but it’s really just following the usual RS formula of a young woman in place of Jagger (Doom & Gloom), rid

Quotebengigan I despise Jimmy Fallon but loved the Stones in Exile week he did in 2010 to promote the Exile reissue. Each musical guest did a different cover of an Exile song and it was a great week with other fun sketches that Mick and Keith were in They did it right. The whole Exile week was phenomenal.

I like the titles and the album titles. The guerilla marketing is cool too. The band name and logo In shattered glass is cool too. Not a fan of the other artworks though. Shaping up nicely

ABB Tour. Was my third time seeing them and I got them in my hometown as the Euro tour closer. They went back to America, did the SAL shows and came back to Europe the following year, where I caught them an additional 3 times. Among those was the last London show, which meant that I was present at the last show on their last world tour. I brag about it too.

Quotelem motlow If they try to put too many songs on it they’ll blow it again,we’ll be lucky if they have 5 or 6 strong tracks. 3 of the big 4 only have 10 songs and each one has a cover.Exile has 18 songs with 2 covers. To think they could have 15 or more worthwhile songs right now is a dream.it’s 2023 not 1971. I’ve said this for years: Keep it to 10-11 songs max. Two of them cover songs. O

Quotestraycatuk QuoteJumpingKentFlash I get the title sort of… Glass, diamonds… Shattered etc. A broken band because of CW. I just don’t get the Hackney thing. It’s a borough in London and I think Marc Bolan and Sid Vicious are from there… I just don’t see the connection. Not necessarily a place . Hackney as in overused , common , vulgar or jaded sc uk Ah. That’s actually a great title

I was never a big reader, except when it comes to historical events of the last 150 years and especially biographies. I love biographies. Bill German’s book is one of my favorites for sure, and I’ve always loved a book called The Death of WCW (about American wrestling). Recently I’ve discovered Tom Wilson’s book The Masked Man. He’s the guy who played Biff in Back To The Future. Extremely interes

Tonight I’ve finally gotten around to watching the 1 hour of Wiltern Licks from 2002. That should be released for sure. Mick Jagger is a revelation on it. He’s so into it. Glasto 2013 too. And I’ve always heard good things about Roseland 2002.

10 times. Copenhagen 1998, 2003, 2007, 2017. Horsens 2006. Roskilde 2014. Berlin 2014. Brno 2007. London 2007. Brussels 2022. Out of those the Horsens one was in my hometown and the last 2006 Euro show, Brussels 2022 was the night before the 60th anniversary, London 2007 the last world tour show they ever did, and if I recall correctly the Roskilde show was the last with Bobby Keys.

It will be interesting to hear what they have come up with. In the early days of recording this album, they said “it has to marinate” in various interviews. The marinating part was many times a good thing for them. Loving Cup, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar etc. All examples of songs that had to spend a few years on the back burner before getting their due. I’m not saying we should expect an album of p

Prince WAS the best. He really nailed it. The Stones well… it was cool they did a new song to promote the album, but the sound was a bit off. High energy sure, cool stage, good playing… the sound marred it. Come to think of it, didn’t we have a guy on here who knew something about it. As I recall it was something with the soundcheck and an engineer not saving the settings or something. The Ston
