It doesn’t mean it’ll be canceled? The show I mean? I’m going to Belgium at 00.10 tonight and spend the weekend there. I have a ticket, but it isn’t LD.

QuoteStoneage People actually want a new boring blues cover album? No we already have a good one with Blue & Lonesome. What I would like to see though, is a version two of that concept. The blues was obviously important in the Stones, but what about an album of old soul, country and reggae covers? That rendition of You Win Again on SG Deluxe was masterful. And I want the new album too.

It’s not a mini tour, but it isn’t a world tour either. The last world tour show was 02 Arena (3) in London 2007. The tours since 2012 are more like a South America summer tour, a Euro summer tour, a US summer tour etc. I like the setlists, but I agree that it should be more of a celebration of 60years of music. It’s actually pretty easy to do since they always throw in a lot of 60s and 70s st

It’s a bit unfair to label the Dunning Kruger effect on Keith, since he likely doesn’t give a shit. Multiple times I’ve read that he goes into a show always trying to top the last. Of course what he doesn’t mention is that age has limited his physical ability to do so. He was always doing it as good as he can with what he’s got. The bravado he puts into it is more of a pisstake than anything. I

QuoteThe Worst. It is true that there was a fusion of two fractions, Brian and Stu + The Dartford Gang (The Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys: Mick, Keith, Dick Taylor) that would eventually become The Rolling Stones. The question is who the engine was behind this fusion. From my limited understanding and knowledge, this is approximately what happened: * 17th of October 1961: Mick and Keith

QuoteDGA35 Hey JKF, are you by chance MHP on the Hoffman forum site? Same question popped up there a couple weeks ago, or, you saw it there and posted it here? I think it was the amalgamation of Brian/Stu and Mick/Keith. Brian named the band, booked their club shows and originally handled the money. When the rest of the band found out he was keeping an extra 5 pounds for himself that was pro

Ok let’s see if this can be settled: Who started The Stones? I’ve always maintained it was Brian, but Brian wrote that letter in which he said the Stones is Brian and Stu from one band, and Mick and Keith from another band that formed the nucleus of the Stones. With that in mind, I hear some people say that the whole Brian starting the Stones is an internet myth. I’m still not convinced it wa

QuoteStonedRambler QuotePapo QuoteStonedRambler QuotePapo It's the sign interpreter, he's there at every show. How can one imagine a sign interpreter for music? Does he translate the lyrics? In 2019 it was simply amazing. He interpreted the lyrics and even what was going on musically. I have recorded a few minutes: That's awesome. Did not know you can a sign interpreter can i

Makes no sense with that many teams. Same goes for the Champions League. More matches means more revenue though, and we all know how money hungry FIFA has proven to be.

QuoteTaylor1 Quoteretired_dog Quotestargroover It would be great if they got to do another club show and dusted off some rarities and released it.But it would take one hell of a show to better El Mocambo. Forget Brussels Affair ,for me El Mocambo is the definitive Stones Live album. It would be great if we got the other night released as well. I'm a bit hesitant about this. One would

Quoteslewan Quotetreaclefingers QuoteKurt "...Mick's in hospital." ???!!! Wow, I certainly hope that isn't the case, or if it is simply because they're being really cautious. I have COVID right now and wasn't even a thought I need to go to hospital. as I said before: going to a hospital doesn't mean that Mick's has been hit hard. If he had been hit h

Ok, so no setlist surprises tonight. One thing though: If there’s one thing I’d like changed it’s the Satisfaction ending. By all means play it, but not as the last song. It could be a warhorse no problem. JJF for example. It’s miles better than Satisfaction as the closer.

I’ve never read a Dean Goodman review I didn’t like. Remember it’s his personal opinion on what he saw, and it’s a Stones show veteran’s opinion at that. Reviews aren’t really important, but some are better than others. And Dean is very good at it.

I absolutely love how they’re playing. It’s killer! But what in the name of all things holy was Bob Clearmountain thinking with that mix? It sounds like it’s in a stadium. The club intimacy is nowhere to be found. What’s even worse is that in between songs you can hear it’s in a club. When the music plays it’s very different. It’s really a strange decision. I would have expected it to sound more
