I hope I am not repeating a prior thread... This is for that single track that you just KNEW would have been a worldwide SMASH had they released it everywhere! I start by offering a track that I routinely believe is their finest hour. Why it was only released as a single in a handful of countries is beyond me, as the lead track from the LP does not top it. Drumroll, Charlie...........

Along this line, i wish someone had some video of the totally different "James Brown-like" It's All Over Now from January 67. It is on several boots, but all list it from being from 22 January's Sunday Night at the Palladium. Would love to see video of that piece from the vaults.

As INCREDIBLE as the Roling Stones are to me, my sun does not rise and set on their proverbial corner grocery. There are so many bands who I have dug, am digging, and will dig from here on out, until I will list only 10 of the ones in heavy rotation right now: The Stone Roses The WAYBACKS RIDE Charlatans UK The Raveonettes Black Keys Donna the Buffalo Grateful Dead Led Zeppelin Ten Y

QuoteTooTough To me: The long Tell Me I (on the first pressings of 1st album UK) and Brown Sugar/Wild Horses (on the misprints of the US Hot Rocks). Brilliant! Perhaps it is "mispressings" that are the rarest. How many of these "mispressings" or mistakenly-released tracks are out there?

Perhaps there is a thread on this topic, but I cannot find it. I am curious as to what might be considered the "rarest" officially-released Stones' track? It could be a "variation" like the longer version of Slave on some reissued CDs, C---sucker Blues white-label single with the West German box set of the 80s, or even the version of Tell Me Baby How Many More times

Quotestraycatuk Rough Justice and Oh no not you again at the Press conference for ABB tour at least a couple of months before release. sc uk I do not think Rough Justice was played at the press conference. Only ABB song played at ABB tour press show was Oh No, NOt You Again. Also, Nearness of You was recorded by Keith in 77 or 81, no?

QuoteDandelionPowderman The El Mocambo side off Love You Live may be the best live set they ever put on record, imo. Other fantastic officially released tracks: Imagination (Fort Worth 78 and Hampton 81) Beast Of Burden (Forth Worth 78) Waiting On A Friend (Hampton 81) Gimme Shelter (LA 75) Midnight Rambler (Brussels 73) Twenty Flight Rock (Hampton 81 and Still Life) Factory Girl (Fla

Wow! Great stuff, y'all! While Jack Flash seems to me to be the one, songs like Let it Bleed Gimme Shelter Brown Sugar and Midnight Rambler cannot be overlooked. Still, THE Stones' desert island track for me is .... ROCKS OFF Keith on fire Charlie alight And Jagger mean as a scorned trailer-trash queen.

I revived this because of the Mickboy LIB thread having been brought back to say that I am NOT a fan of this Mickboy Remaster because while the extra songs are awesome, there is way too much bass boost to where it is annoying to me. For the BEST of the alternate stuff of Exile, I urge those who have access to 2 different advance test pressings from 1972 that were "demoed" on UK Rad

This is high fine s&%t to me, as it has always been my favorite track of Voodoo Lounge. This thing grooves and moves and cooks and smokes and sweats. I put it up there with incredible Stones' groove tracks that make one dance like: Pretty Beat Up Everything's Turning to Gold Dance (Parts 1 &2) And it is the son of some earlier groove tracks like: Just Wanna See Hi

Maybe someone has posted something like this, but if so, please forgive, as I could not find it. Here's one for you - Name a line that appears in 2 different Stones' songs. Go ahead. How about: "What's the matter with you, Boy?" And now, the 2 songs: Rocks Off and Miss You. Kinda funny how stuff like this pops in your head.

Forgive if this has been addressed, but I cannot seem to locate discussion on what is the difference b/t the Hampton 81 released in January 2012 and the one released 2 weeks ago. I have read a lot of the threads on this, but the comparison is more with the bootleg releases of old. Are they different shows, merely different formats, or is there something I am missing? Also, if anyone want
