QuoteStonedRambler For what it’s worth. Matt Clifford wrote on Instagram „Looking forward to be meeting up with the band again soon“ So they must be doing something. If they don’t tour then that probably means studio time! They don't need to meet until one month before a Tour so it must be studio time. I still think the "tour off" decision was to finish the next album.

QuoteMore Hot Rocks QuoteMatt1984 Contracts were all signed apart from Mick, who refused to sign. Apologies if this has already been mentioned. why? continue... I wrote this before - I think like in 2023 Mick wants to finish the next album before touring. It mnay be about their legacy - an album lasts for decades, a Tour for a few weeks.

Quotegrzegorz67 The Times of London now carrying the 'story'! It's behind a paywall so can't see if they've taken it from here or not. For a Tour that was never announced to make the front page of The Times website is very, very unusual. Shows the comms power of IORR, Shidoobee and social media. But it also says something about the Stones fame and the touring era

Quoteprincerupert Both Björnulf and Hendrik are very reliable sources. So I think there were many plans, but for some reason it all changed. Health and/or insurance. Let's hope and pray it's nothing really bad and maybe the tour or announcement is just delayed. But all of this doesn't look really hopefull. Let's wait and see what happens. BV might have some more info soon I

The tour has never been announced so if it is off there will be no announcement from the Stones.

Not a very clear article, with the obvious error that there were 20 shows in 2024 - not 18. And of course the Stones are three people... The $10M per show is the gross estimate - out of which the tour costs (people, kit, hotels, travel, etc. etc.) need to be paid. A figure of $1M per Stone per show could be nearer the personal income. Then of course there is the Merch - must be $30 profit p

It was a great evening: very entertaining. The focus on the Havers family highlighted the wider society changes at the time. The Stones content and music was very good... except that the (generally) good backing band played a chorus of JJF very differently (like different chords) than I have ever heard. Why?

I was lucky enough to see every show, and it is incredibly difficult to decide on the best. I chose the best 5 based on: setlist, audience and band enthusiasm, quality of playing, emotional feeling after the show. None of the first few made the list, because of the shorter set list and Keith's "cold's" impact. Interestingly the "second" show of multi-city shows d

Last night's show was great. Guesting on the penultimate number was Don McAuley, Charlie Watts and new Steve Jordan's drum tech. Then on the final number Darryl Jones and Steve Jordan joined Tim Ries and Bernard Fowler and band to play Satisfaction. A great gig, sold out, and a very special performance!!

There will be 2 or 3 days of production rehearsals in Houston and a day off before the first gig, plus a day travelling from the studio rehearsal location. There are also 4 to 6 new songs to learn well - they played 4 in The Racket and will want to try out a couple more, all with the full band and new backing singer (Chanel). So I'm guessing 3 or 4 weeks studio rehearsals, towards the end

Bjornulf, Your dedication and work for this community is rightly legendary. It has made a huge difference to us all. Its our "go-to" source for all things Stones. It has no doubt had a very positive impact on the Stones themselves - before they even thought about using social media. So many, many thanks for such a fantastic job - one unpaid and often un-appreciated; and one which

There were at least 6 of us who post to IORR at the show. I won't post the names. I wrote the review you can find on IORR. Link here: The first Club show I've seen - it was really a private party for the record company. Also my first show where phones, even my Apple watch, were removed and sealed away - hence the few photos and no recordings. Maybe some will emerge. It was pro

I guess that the Stones wanted two competitive bids to promote the 1989 tour, and Bill G and Michael C were those bids - get the best deal and hungry promoters. But you don't then tell the loser that "you could never win anyway because of some dodgy accounting in the past" because you'd get sued for bid costs and maybe damages. Smart move by the Stones - whether it was P

Quotebuffalo7478 With all the upfront investment in stage, video, effects, rehearsal, visas, entourage travel, legal work......and maybe most critical, sadly, insurance...an overseas 15-20 date tour has to be challenging. An illness or injury and a show or 2 or cancelled, or sales lagging (70,000 people in each of 30 US stadiums is not happening like in the 70s thru 1981. 42,000-45,000 more lik

A tour sometime in 2023 was expected, and indeed strongly hinted at by all 3 band members. Of course fans know that serious matters might prevent this, so nobody should have had 100% expectations. Then we had strong positive rumours, leaks from many sources inside the band's team and outside (like venues), and eventually many of the dates for a Tour starting June. But at the last minute n

Quotebv There will be no tour this year unfortunately. This is the info from reliable sources. Too much activity this fall, hard to get a rescheduled tour ready on such a short notice. As every year passes it gets more difficult to organise a major Stones tour. The risk of someone not being fit and also issues mid-tour like we had in 2022. Delays, especially mid-tour, are expensive and hard

Tim & Bernard are doing a series of gigs, look rather special, in Madrid in 12 days time. At the famous Teatro Albéniz, a combination of rock, jazz and flamenco. Looks like quite a musical emsemble with 23 musicians. Tickets available on see tickets.

I was hoping for a one month "delay" to the original tour rumour of a June start, but it is clear now that nothing will happen until the end of the summer. They ideally announce 3 months in advance, to help ticket sales, and July/August is not an ideal time with crazy hot weather in many parts of the USA. Anyone in Lyon last year will understand that issue: the guys on stage are up to 8
