Here, here!! I too, think this is a brilliant idea. I also think the video component is a huge part of it. It's been discussed here before, without total agreement, that some Shidoobees of Stonesdoug's group, enjoyed a night at Albert Maysles place where they viewed an entire show's worth of MSG video. It wasn't clear what show(s) was seen as there was a CIA level hush, hush n

QuoteIrix The topic John Pasche vs. Craig Braun vs. Ernie Cefalu has been discussed here many many times - , . And they are all off base. Alan Aldridge's design is the true origin of the Stones Tongue.

QuoteMathijs QuoteTaylor1 Quoteautomaticchanger QuoteTaylor1 Mathis, do you know which 1972 concert the snippet at 37 seconds on the Cross Fire hurricane promo posted above is from. It is really clear. Do you think they might have the full concert on film I checked the clip and I'm pretty sure it's from 06/15/72 Albuquerque. Mick's wearing the purple jump

QuoteTaylor1 Hard to believe he is the same guy who wrote crap like Silly Love Songs over the next 50 years. I know a lot of folks agree with ya, but I love Silly Love Songs. Once of the most perfect pop songs ever, with a bass line that always amazes and delights.

Always loved this one and it seemed rare and exotic back in the day. I was first aware of it as a 9-10 y.o. on that 1976 double Best of album, culled from the Mercury albums and singles. Also, the We Love You coda was great and added to to my fascination with it.

Wow. Quite the industrial company. Based on the videos... the Pink Floyd one is the best, followed by LZ. Queen was decent. The rest is just whatever. Seems a bit strange but people just love cover bands for some reason. At least this is devoted to one artist instead of the average classic rock radio station in a club. Well, every philharmonic outfit is a cover band/tribute act, right? So, I lik

Quotetreaclefingers Quotetriceratops The old and seasoned Stones' fans head out for a beer or to take a piss during "Miss You". The Keith beer/piss break is gone, now that he is playing "Connection". Says a lot about the average age of a Stones fan if they don't have bladder control for 19 songs. To be fair, I think it speaks more to the average thirst of a Stone

QuoteRockman Dean Goodman review Cheers, thanks Rockman! Wow, just read Dean Goidman's review and couldn't disagree more strongly on nearly every point he made. I also am not a fan of his tone. I too, used to feel it was my hard earned right to mock them and casually insult them, because it was from a place of deep love as it is also, obviously the same for Dean. However, moc

QuoteNikkei Didn't enjoy Dean Goodmans review so much, though. I get why he resonates with some of you, but most of his observations are actually VERY subjective... Where is this review? I don't see it anywhere and it doesn't come up under his name in search.

Unfortunately, Steve Gebhardt passed in 2015 however, there is a rap/metal band named Crazy Town that formerly featured the nephew of Ruby Mazur, designer of the Tumblin Dice sleeve and Rollin Binzer's son Seth. I'll try to contact both Binzers to see if they have any info. It says in the RS article that they shot 60,000 feet of film. Is it still in existence? Where is it? Who owns

The lyrics of Born in the USA are actually pretty angry and full of heartbreak and disappointment from the viewpoint of a disillusioned soldier returning home Vietnam. Instead of parades with flag waving citizens celebrating his patriotic sacrifice, he found rejection and hopelessness in this USA that didn't give a damn about him or his troubles. So, not really the warm, feel good vibe
