I just found this musician board entries about Charlie's drum technique on Sticky Fingers. It's about 10 years old, but I couldn't stop reading.

Lots of cool stuff there and I’m glad that site finally changed its tacky name.

The guy that owns the master tape must be misspoken about overdubs at Sunset—I’m pretty sure they were done at Olympic. It also seems to coincide with the theories that Taylor’s original rhythm and solo parts were wiped by Richards in place of a new rhythm guitar and the sax solo.

Wow! Tons of information. I don't see an acoustic guitar mentioned on Brown sugar though.
