Not trying to insinuate anything, just saying that the magazine (which I don't trust to correctly identify people in the music world) labeled a woman as Wyman's wife, and that I don't know what his wife looks like.

Any photos of the stiltwalkers? I have never heard of that before. I remember the VH1 special about the Washington DC tour opener did not include any mention of this. Also, I was at the Cleveland show (somewhat early in the tour) and they were not there.

I put it like that for a few reasons. I don't know what his wife looks like, and it is not a great picture of the woman.

Carlitosbaez, maybe you can help with a scan of this image... In the Spanish version of the magazine "Hola" with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the cover, on page 76, there is a photo of Bill Wyman and his wife with the royal family of Monaco. Bill's "wife" is nobody I recognized.

Quoteskipstone How about attendance? Probably their least attended stadium show EVER was the Louisiana Supe in 1994 - less than 25,000 people showed up...they haven't been back since. And Heartbreaker sucked - it's NEVER been a good song live. It SUCKS. I don't know why they continue to do it. Cleveland 94 may have had worse attendance. I don't remember well, but probably

I believe it is the same book: The Rolling Stones Collection, 30 Years of Music and Memorabilia is recommended. Lots of nice photos of bootlegs and collections, rare / foreign singles, etc. Look for it cheap on amazon or some similar site.

Maybe it wasn't an ego - maybe it was him trying to think clearly in a sea of chaotic personalities. Something always made me think JB had more of a level head than other music celebrities.

Thanks for the info. The unions are weaker in the South, but as far as going unnoticed, I would think that the Stones would attract much more attention in a small town as opposed to NYC where, if they wanted, they could go unnoticed.

My question is the following: Why would the Stones go all the way to some studio in the middle of nowhere in Alabama when they could record in NYC, London, etc?

Has anyone heard of a Bob Marley song by either of the following titles: "Lick Samba" "Leaps and Bounds" I believe the correct title is "Leaps and Bounds" although the radio playlist may have it incorrectly listed. I'd never heard it before and am looking for a download. Thanks, Robert

Maybe this was already brought up, but does anyone here believe that the Rolling Stones provide a key part in the whole process of "liberalizing" (in the current political sense) countries? For example, when they played the Czech Republic in 1989 they "proved", via the world media, that it was economically viable for western companies to go and take advantage of new markets th

I seem to remember a story about Bob Weir meeting up with Ron Wood in NYC when one of the two bands played Mets stadium. On the Rob Wasserman CD "Trios", Wasserman, Weir and Neil Young (?) cover "Satisfaction". Worth checking out...keep an open mind about it, though.

QuoteGazzaWouldnt say any of the shows were 'great' (interesting, certainly - and it set the template for the random setlists that would be the norm at future Dylan tours) but the live album that the Dead assembled out of the shows was much superior to the one that Dylan eventually released. What was the album that the Dead prepared?

ANYWAY, the new Shattered rehearsal video is cool. I don't always like the quality of the Stones music, but always appreciate new releases and try to take something positive out of it. 40+ years...a rehearsal video: I like it.

I didn't take the time to read the previous 3 pages of this thread, just the most recent postings. ...I think there is a direct connection between the political climate in a country and the Stones' business there. Will we see the Stones play in Cuba? An interesting article from a Latin American Studies listproc: >From AIPAC to the Cuban Exiles. Is Obama Turning Right? B

Just moved to Greenville, SC after having lived in Madrid, Spain, Bowling Green, OH and Ann Arbor, MI, all in the last 2 years. Greenville and SC are not a stones area like the other places (Ann Arbor, near Detroit, and the midwest in general; especially Madrid, are big on the Stones). I just found out that the Stones played SC on 11-26-89 at Clemson. I would have enjoyed that, its a cool stad
