Love 90% of the album. I know it's been said many times before but if the Stones recorded a mash up of Wandering Spirit and Talk is Cheap they would have recorded the best Stones album since Some Girls. Much better anything that came after Some Girls. I feel Wandering Spirit is probably as good as anything the Stones have done since 1980

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteAquamarine Quotetriceratops My take is Mick Jagger intended to give credits to Mick Taylor. The kind you get royalty checks from...But that Keith objected and blocked this due to jealousy and all around nastiness and greediness due to heroin use. Keith didn't like Mick Taylor horning in on the co-writing of tunes with Mick Jagger. This was Keith's departme

Hello all, There is a band from New Hampshire (US) called The Connection. They are very Stonesy. In fact, I find their sound more Vegas era Stones than 60s-70s Stones and they do it in a good way. They nail Keith's "Tele thru a Twin" tone but yet they have their own thing going on as well. They receive heavy airplay on Little Steven's Underground Garage. Little Steven sums

Hello, Chordie.com 911tabs.com www.classic-country-song-lyrics.com slideonron.com has Ronnie tabs faces.com has a few tabs as well....I know it's not Stones but still fun! I think tabs are very helpful to people trying to develop an ear. One can use a tab to get started on a song and then figure the rest out on your own.

It's funny, every time Fender comes out with yet another Tele or Strat, I usually find myself wanting one! WTF??? Must be something is the fretboards. Like Fender smack. You play one of their guitars and you are hooked.

Hello all,' a buddy told me he order a DVD from Amazon ... ABC News Classics The Rolling Stones - 1978 Mick Jagger and friends meet Geraldo Rivera at Woodstock! After more than a decade as a rock band, the Rolling Stones--Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood, and Bill Wyman--took time out of rehearsals for their 1978 U.S. tour to speak with Rivera about why they still love to play

I got another Stones book. The Mammoth Book I believe it's called. The "factual" content by the author is often wrong however..........the book contains some hard to find interviews such as MJ in 1968...not Rolling Stone, what appears to be the complete 1971 Rolling Stone KR interview (mob answers and all!), some stuff from Crème magazine, etc. I found it is worth the price

I'm sure people here have read her book. I'm at the chapters about the "bust". The part about MJ wanting to have a go on KR made me cringe. I also finding the mixing of French phrases into sentences pretentious. It's weird how she says now that she didn't really like sex cuz in the book she doesn't come across like that. I read it for 5-10 minutes and th

WENN, Monday, September 9, 2013, 12:01am (PDT) • Marianne Faithfull has shattered her 1960s sex kitten reputation, insisting she was disgusted by men when she was younger. RELATED: 2013's biggest breakups so far The singer-songwriter was linked to rockers including Sir Mick Jagger and David Bowie in the '60s, but admits she needed drugs or alcohol before she could be physically intim

I have a Aerodyne Strat that is CIJ. I love it. It sounds different from any other Strat I own and it has a beautiful stripped maroon finish. Build is exceptional. It's funny b/c my wife bought me that model as my first electric 4 years ago but then I sold it cuz I "HAD" to have a Tele. I regretted selling it so much that I bought another this summer. I was saying to someone the

Hello all, Fender is re-issuing their semi-hollow/hollow body guitars and basses! They are re-issuing the Coronado....and the Starcaster! Based on the pricing (Round $900 US), I'm thinking they will be built in Mexico. I own 2 vintage Coronados with hand built pickups by Stonewall Pickups in New Hampshire (USA). The original DeArmond's were quite lame. I love the feel of t

Hello all, Has anyone out there played Prodigal Son is Standard tuning? I seem to be able to play everything except the Chorus of "that's the way for us to get along" part. I'm playing the song E to A (first position) and when I get to the chorus I play a C# on the 4th fret 5th string and move from C#, D, D#, E. It just doesn't sound right. Anyone else try this?

Talk is Cheap: 9 I entered into Keith’s orbit when he was in L.A. working on Hail! Hail! Rock ‘N’ Roll, the Chuck Berry movie. I got a call from somebody who said, ‘I represent Keith Richards, and he’s looking for you. ‘He’s looking for me?’ I said. ‘Well, why don’t you give him my number – you found me!’ “He told me to call Keith at Larrabee Studios. I got him on the phone and he said,

Bridges: 11 The Rolling Stones – Bridges To Babylon (1997) “It’s strange to find yourself in the studio with the Stones, that’s for sure. Woody wasn’t in town yet, so Keith called me up and said, ‘Why don’t you come down and play?’ I had met the guys before, and Don Was the producer – I knew him. Keith wanted somebody to play off of him. It was great – every night was a shared musi

The Sonics and the Wailer are incredibly under rated. Let's not forget our recently deceased Nick Curran who kept it alive. The Stones version of She Said Yeah! is garage at it's best!
