I'd like to hear more Berry and soul/Motown stuff. Enough already with Brown Sugar, Start me Up etc... I mean at this point, how many new fans are going to go to one of their shows and say "wow Brown Sugar, what a great song! I need to get the disc that that song is on". On stage, the Stones always seem to have more fun playing covers or stuff they don't play all of the time.

2000 Man seems to be about an adult male who can't cope with the "future world". Great song. The other "stonesy" song is The Lantern. With a little work, the Lantern could have been on Beggar's

I agree with Mathijs on the 76 audience recordings, a lot of them sounded like the Stones were really kicking. On DVD's they look like they're having a pretty good time as does the audience so what;s the problem?

Listen to the EL Mocambo show that is available. Dance Little Sister and Route 66 are phenomial! IMHO, they were clinging to life as a band.... and came up big. Little Red Rooster is great, Mannish as well. very hot!

I've been listening to early Stones discs latley and feel Brian's guitatr playing is underrated. His slide work is masterful but his rythm work is great as well. The solo on "It's all over now" really kicks ass. You can hear a lot of him in Keith's later playing styles. When the band started, Brian was the leader. I also think he was the one that wanted to keep wi
