Today I found a DVD Tokio Dome 1990 (WOW 008) at the Media Markt (!). This is a bootleg DVD, right? Wonder why MM is selling this kind of stuff... The sound is okay (just stereo, no surround). The image quality is so so... sjouke

Gotfather Records... this particular one is a 3CD set, with the Vienna show and some additional songs from US shows... great quality, I guess it is very good audience, but I am not sure. Maybe someone else knows. sjouke

I can only agree as well after seeing Bruce Springsteen and U2 this summer. Really good shows, lots of new songs. See below the setlists for the two London shows of U2. sjouke

Yes, I remember too... it was my first Stones show after missing out the 1990 tour. I drove the afternoon before with a friend from Amsterdam to this desolated place :-) And it was a hot day... here's the setlist: Not Fade Away,Tumbling Dice, You Got Me Rocking,It's All Over Now, Sparks Will Fly, Satisfaction, Beast Of Burden, Angie, Shine a Light, Like a Rolling Stone, Rock And A H

I was also amazed how many tickets were still available at Milano just before the show. And how does it work in Italy, they sell so much shirts etc. outside the venue, definitely not official stuff. sjouke

I do agree a lot with Kees... I saw Springsteen two weeks ago in Berne, saw U2 last week in Milano. For Springsteen no special effects, but one of the best shows I've ever seen. U2 was huge... the San Siro, the stage, the audience... and I think if the Stones would have had such a stage, people (who bash U2 here) would have loved it. Apparently, I am one of the few that really likes No Li

QuoteHappy24 what time does Bruce start playing? Is it always between 8 and 8.15? And would someone please tell me how the wrist-band system works in European stadiums? (how was it in Bern for instance?) Once I get the wrist band can I walk off and then return for the show or do I have to stay in the queue? At what time do they give those wristbands and what time shoud one be there to get one?

I just came back from Berne... lots of traffic to get out. But what a show. And the opening was not Badlands but "Ds Bärner Oberland isch schön". A local anthem from Berne, played by Nils Lofgren on accordeon. After that nice introduction one highlight followed the other. My God, this guy - and his band - are overwhelming. They put the Stones at this stage in the shadow. sjouke

But it was a great tune to hear two years ago in Milano at the opening show of the European leg... the crowd went mad when they realized it was an Italian song... sjouke

So, yesterday Roger Hodgson played the Kongresshaus in Zürich. All the "big" songs from the classic Supertramp were played plus some solo stuff. Incredible good, the guy is really very sympathic and has a lot of fun playing these tunes. The show lasted almost 2 1/2 hours. He plays together with a Canadian guy who does the saxophone, more keyboards and backing vocals. If you get the chan

"Uncertain Smile" is one of my favorite songs. Great "band", never got the chance to see them live. Is it true, that Matt Johnson left the music buseniss? sjouke

Last night David Byrne was playing with his band (11 people incl. choreography) in Zürich... he really "burnt down the (Volks)house". The Swiss audience who is usually a bit reserved went completely out of mind and literally dancing on the chairs... what a night :-) and what an excellent band. Highlights were for me the old Talking Heads stuff and a great version of Help Me Somebody (fr

Today were pre-sales for many shows again. They sell out incredibly fast. With the new album, the promotion everywhere, there is no doubt, they are the biggest act at the moment. Magnificent and Breathe are absolutely great tunes from the new album. sjouke

Quotesocialdistortion and VERY boring If you don't like U2, why do you read this OT? And I haven't heard any argument why you don't like them (besides sleepy, boring). Apparently, there are enough IORRians who do appreciate them. Btw, tonight at 12 pre-sales for the second Milano show start www.ticketone.it sjouke
