Big Al, with all respect but I think you should stop comparing. And start more enjoying. May and probably be I'm totally wrong but can it be you compare so much because your ratio fights aginst your feelings? You feelings say: Yes! These albums! My Stones! Your ratio says: Let us put those feelings in boxes and cases and categories. Just rock and roll and let yourself free. It's th

QuoteTaylor1 What a stupid thread. It just invites jokes about the woman's age or appearance and is boring Right: Stupid thread. And disrespectful. If she hadn't babysitted Ronnie through all the decades we wouldn't have the Stones like we had them onwards from the 1981 US Tour. Just saying.

The 81 tour was the birth of the Stones we got through the last 3 decades. Without 81 everything which followed had'nt been possible. Not even IOOR - this site.

Quotestanlove QuoteStoneage To defend Stanlove a bit: There can be a huge difference between a professional recording (including edits) and your personal experience of a gig (or two). The 81/82 sound production was not all that impressive and if you caught a position far back in the crowd I can understand someone's disappointment. Actually its easy to prove I am correct. Here is how t

Quotestanlove QuoteStoneage One observation about the 81/82 tour: Neither of the Tattoo You songs came out good live. I think they slaughtered SMU for instance. Uninspiring. Black Limousine might be the exception though. It sounded pretty good. Agreed. 1981 was their worst tour ever. They just basically butchered their own songs for 2 hours. The crowds were dead and disappointed. Not sure a

I am a Stones Fan since 1970, when I was 9. Listening to Get Yer Ya Ya's Out on my cassette recorder. And looking at the cover of the album a while later seeing a man beside a donkey with a drumkit, looking at the back of the cover, seeiing Mick for the first time, and Keith, and Charlie, Bill, and Mick T. Putting it on my fathers stereo (Braun!), having it all in full sound and volume.

1982 was the far better tour for me, cause 1981 was unreachable expensive to go as a 19 year old boy from Hamburg, Germany. I was sucking in the news from every tiny bit of the '81 US-leg. Counting the days until June 1982.

Charlie and Ronnie in very nice mood. But the interviewer... Even I know he has to read those FB questions - he is so boring, uninspired, lightyears away from the Stones World, just working himself through his bloody questions. Couldn't Clash magazine send someone with a rollin'rock-heart?

Quotebv We have been spoiled with studio and live music from the Stones since the early 60's. We just need to face the facts. There will be another studio album. For Sure. There may be another show. Not for sure. Still, they have left behind decades and decades of memories. I spend more time with my family now, and less time with The Stones. May be next year, I will see the Stones once more,

It´s the Mercedes for DJ`s. The best DJ-Friend since 40 years. And its a good price. You won't regret it. No other record player has his starting-speed. No DJ-record player this weight. When I'm DJ-ing for friends & guests I jump between two CD-Players and the SL 1200 MkII. Always thought about getting a secon one - but don't know where tp place it in my packed Hifi-closet. An

QuoteRockman Aint it truely strange how one can recognize certain people from behind even though you've never seen the back of them before .... yes and: e sat outside. At that moment I got a short look at his face and now I knew for sure. The man, who sat just two metres in front of us, at the other side of the window, and lit a cigarette. I recognized his hair, his face …. I was

That´s great. I will give it to my 85 year old still piano playin' father who created a huge Jazz-World in our home ever since. From my 1961 baby-time on there was Jazz in my ear. Dave Brubeck, Paul Desmond, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Quincy Jones, Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander and of course Carl Tjader and so many more lived and live in my parents living room until today.
