QuoteDiamondDog7 Maybe I will start a new thread which contains mostly DISLIKES. No. This would be boring. We had this before. And before. This "Changing your mind through the years"-idea here is nice.

QuoteRockman The Stones dont really do melancholy .... Even when they go steppin' close to the misery pit there's always that vibe...that soul .. that inner grind they create that drives us .... Keeps us all from that edge .... Keep on tryin' .... Yeah Rockman, brilliant. That‘s so true. And so good expressed. Always feeling this through those songs. Never put it in w

This is a great interview. Direct. Honest. Smart. Humorous. And all of it only in the way he can do it. It´s in the row of the best Keith-interviews of the last three decades.

Sitting on my desk now I have to work. But then again - like a 100.000 times before since 50 years - a Stones-moment comes around the corner and I`m d-r-i-v-e-n away. Never wanna be something else than a Stones fan. Never-NEVER-Never-NEVER-Never-NEVER-Never be.

Quotejbwelda I am glad you XXed out the cross street with Riverside Drive. Oops...until you revealed it to be 84th St. later on. And I cannot believe you are bragging about not only a major personal intrusion on the life and possibly livelihood of Mr. Jagger, but some kind of big time law about stealing mail. Maybe thats only in America. Yes I did see you returned it. Funny, that tactic

In 1987 I was a 26 year boy from Germany visiting a friend in New York. One night I went to Nell‘s which was the hot new club in the also new hip meat district. Nell‘s was a black clun with a minority of ca. 30% white guests. In the lounge room I spottet Jeff Beck. My friend said: „Go and say hello to him. He will be happy even one is recognizing him in this black scene here. So I did. I said:

Quote24FPS That '94 interview. The reporter, Ed Bradley I believe, asked Mick about drugs. Mick said something to the effect that drugs were bad for him and that he quit. Ed asked him how long it took for him to figure that out. Mick looked at the camera, smiled, and said, "About twenty five years." I get the feeling he started slowing down to begin with, knowing he couldn'

QuoteKevinM The main reason I stopped going to shows was Mick's voice isn't what it was pre '84. It's not fair to expect it to be velvet smooth anymore. The other reason is virtually the same set list (give or take a few) since the mid 70's. So here are tracks that (some/many) have never been played live or very rarely been played live... Flight 505 (piano intro

Quotevibrolux In 1975, if you wanted great seats for a show in L.A. you camped out for a few days at the Forum. So when the 1975 tour was announced we were ready. We loaded our cars and got there a few days ahead of the on sale date. Back in the Stone age (pun fully intended), they actually sold the best seats at the ticket windows. Top price was $12.50. All you had to do was be crazy enough to s

In my opinion this here leads all to far in the wrong direction. The way this thread is actually meant is: There is a IORR-Collegue with a VERY interesting Stones-book-project who just want to find out the pre-reception here. How much we all are keen on a book like this. I am. VERY. And I think we all are.

This live version of UNder My Thumb is by far the best one of all times. It was my Stones fanfare thru the 80ies and help me a lot lot on my way getting strong and selfconfident. It was a bless too as a DJ in the 8Oies. A song of my life. Still.

Quotesteffialicia Quotemicawber Another letdown by Mick. No performance, no fancy looks, just begging for a few seconds. He could help half of India, if he just wanted, Hate that. What a hypocrite... how do you know what he does or doesn't do? Right! How do you know he doesn´t donate? Just because he is aksing other people to do? That implies for you he`s keeping his pounds/dollars for

What Ticketmaster is doin‘ here is a redicilous game. „Ticket prices fluctuate depending on demand“ -that‘s exactly what scalpers do. Since ever. So Ticketmaster has emerged to the biggest Scalper on this planet. I know I have to wait till showtime comes nearer. Exactly the same thing I have to to with scalpers in front of the stadium! Buying a ticket was joy in the 80ies and 90ies a

Early spring 1971. I was 9. I borrowed a tape from the elder brother of my best friend. Just to have something I can listen to on my new tape recorder during the first nights in my also new tent, my parents bought for me so could sleep allone and not anymore in the caravan when we went to camping. This something turned out to be the "Ya Ya's"-tape. And turned me into the fan I&#
