It;s absolutely fantastic that "genuine" Zemaitis guitars are available again. I would love to buy one, but $9000....I am personally not too fond about Greco. In my opinion, they are the same quality as the Japanese Fender line. Good guitars, worth about $600 per guitar. The Greco Zemaitis copies are $2000, which in my believe is way too much. Mathijs

Am I the only one who thinks these recordings are god-awfull? You don't need a sequencer, recording tools or what ever, you need some @#$%& good ears and a couple of years practicing! The guitars are out of tune, the rythm guitar plays the wrong chords (it's G#add2, Bflatsus4), the solo guitar plays in C major over a C/G#/Bflat progression (learn some scales!), the vocals are off-key, t

Country scale = pentatonic scale. If you play the blues scale in D over an A chord, you will get bum notes. If you play Dpentatonic, you will avoid the bum notes over the A. Mathijs

Liddas, you're planning on buying new gear? In that case, I can strongly recommend to buy Protools. For $400 you have a professional recording tool, very easy to operate, and most importantly it is professional stuff usd in all studio's. You ca record in a studio (drums, bass) and do all the overdubs at home. With the band I am right now (besides Flip the Switch) we use it re record dem

It fully depends on the harmonic framework: If you have a framework of Am, Dm, G, C, a F# is not appropriate (and this scheme is most used by the Stones, I don't know of on song with Am/D). If you have a framework of say Am, Dmaj, Emaj a F# is fully appropriate. By the way, there's also a difference between descending and ascending scales. To have a dramatic effect, you could choose to

On Washinton, Mobile, Akron, Norfolk etc.: the Stones hit the mid-south in the middle of the 1972 tour after a five day break. If you listen to the tapes now, these shows are the best of the best: the Stones are all oiled-up having played more than 30 shows, they are hotter than ever. The energy level of these shows is unsurpassed by anything lese I have heard. The early shows of the tour can be

There is not a grain of doubt that Midnight Rambler was played: it was al over the press that MR was the closer AND there is a huge amount of pictures from the show (verified) with Jagger whipping a belt on stage, harmonica in his hand, and Keith behind him on playing a 1961 Gibson SG Custom with a capo on the 8th fret. The original tape (mono S was released first on Detroit Rock City on the very rare Stone Crazy label (expensive as hell). Later this release was copied to numerous releases, with Rock and Roll Goes on the Road Again the most well known. This release has 17 tracks from Detroit, all other tracks are from New York, June 27, 1975. There isn't really a quality difference between the mono SB and e

I have it at home, I bought it especially for the different versions. I also remember it was absolutely the best format ever heard in my life, far better than any CD or vynil LP. It sounded so warm, full and fat, absolutely unbelievable. I recorded it onto CDR, and even on the CDR you can hear how good 8-track sounds. The only problem is that the recorded was old and running a bit too slow. I wil

On the 8 track only Beast of Burden was truly different: it runs longer, and has diefferent vocals on the end. BTMMR sounds has a somewhat rougher mix. On the Made ITS album, all versions are just the standard version. Mathijs
