QuoteHairball Quotejumpingjackflash5 QuoteTheflyingDutchman As long as Keith Richards and Mick Jagger want to perform together there are the Rolling Stones. No matter what. Enjoy them while you can. I really hope it will not end like this ... based only on want. Good old Chuck...always a bit sad to see this... And it actually got way worse just after that, some concerts in Russia come

1980/1981 era pictures/clips, looks like they won't fess up to the original 1973/74 recording date, makes sense but it feels a bit strange.

QuoteHendrik What a historical and emotional night it was in a tent at the Gillette Stadium on September 20. We entered the venue at 20.30, had to give our names and proof of full vaccination and found our way to the tent. The very first Stones gig since 2019, the first show of their 2021 tour and, unfortunately, the very first show without Charlie Watts. Robert Kraft came on stage at 21.00

What app are you opening these .m3u8 files with ? VLC isn't doing it. Anyway I watched the clips in the App (didn't even know it still existed, I'd bought a subscription back in 2012 !) and they're not bad. Yeah, SJ is hammering things in, no surprise there, I've never seen him not do it... Also I couldn't see the backup singers, you can hear them though, as it

Quote24FPS It's kind of like the dilemma Daryll faced, copy Wyman's sound as close as possible, or try and do something different. Time has decided how that worked out. Jordan has to find that balance between trying to copy, and make it sound like the Rolling Stones, or do something different. The Stones has been a four sound, instead of a five sound since Wyman left. Will it remain a f

TAC makes sense since it's slated to be the next "single" and yes the lyrics are indeed hard to decipher as we found for 20+ years of listening to the "Break Away" outtake ;-) Thanks for the reports, getting ready for the next'un!

Got an email saying a new album had been added : Steel Wheels Pretty interesting, nothing really new, they do remind us that they recorded 25 tracks though, time for a Deluxe ! Ah, they do go on about "getting together after so long, writing together, first songs were BTSPell (called Call-Girl Blues if memory serves), Rock and a Hard Place (aka Steel Wheels) and Mixed Emotions"

"03-12a (4’45) Alteration Boogie (KR names this song himself at the end of the take) " I'm pretty sure it's Mick who pronounces "Alteration Boogie" at the end of the song ;-) With "alteration" referring to "clothing alteration" it seems as Keith mentions all these types of clothes and shops in the lyrics.

Yeah you'd think this would have been an interesting version for Vigotone to "release". Hopefully Glimmerman will be able to "find" more good stuff he can share in due course ;-)

I don't think this has been mentioned before but Danny Saber recently posted a tribute to Charlie on YT in the form of a "Board Mix of Final master take of "Out of Control" pre overdubs and final vocal. An interesting version with some alternate guitar, not sure if it's Keith or Danny Saber though as he's credited with "subversive Gtrz"

And I think Charlie said something like "some of these groves were frankly ridiculous" ? One of the best things with these demos is that I can finally hear and enjoy Mick's rather apt and subtle rhythm playing that is otherwise buried in the mix, be it in the studio or on stage as Ronnie tends to double his parts. Here you know you're actually hearing Mick !

Quotehenrik87 Thanks for sharing those gems! To my ears Micks idea 8 is an early glimpse of Alright Charlie! Yep, I've only reached 5d and it's already somewhat there. It's crazy the amount of work/time they put into writing songs ! Not knowing if it will be a keeper or not ;-)

Thanks for sharing, Musician was really a good magazine. It's hard to believe that was almost 35 years ago and that the release of a CD was a big thing at the time...I remember the teasing that came with the release of the Beatles CDs ! And now we get the "same" interviews with the release of the Deluxe editions, be it for the Stones or the Beatles ;-)

Good point on this "not being Mick"...In France they had poor sales in 2007 in Lyon and Paris and the venues were far from full (with tarped up areas). That probably was not lost on him (and the promoters ?) because the 2014 show in Paris was the "cheapest" one of the tour by far and it was a sellout with 75000+ in the audience at the SDF.

Yeah I'd be very surprised if they didn't do something very special like that, they loved the guy and they know the audience loved him, so why not ! I'll say that I was also a bit puzzled not to see any mention whatsoever on their website, but then what are they going to do that would "work", can't be a quick note, can't be a full "portfolio", betwe
