The venue has a retractable roof. Any insight on whether it's open air or not? Or how/when the decision is made?

119 via 40 shows / 30 years The number was surprising to me, actually. I woulda said 80, maybe 90.

Nice list here, but the challenge is to come up with a 20-song set, to match the number twenty that they're currently doing. QuoteStonesfan2146 They should keep the acustic set but I think it's not right there just squeezed in somewhere in the first half of the set. I think this would work pretty well: 1. Street Fighting Man 2. It's Only Rock'n'Roll 3. Tumbling Dice

It varies by venue. Could be at main entrance when ticket is scanned for entry or could be at a checkpoint before the Field. Or one wristband to gain access to the Field and then another checkpoint to get Pit wristband. If you have mobile entry tickets for more than one person, make sure you stay together from the main entrance all the way to..... The Pit!

I live in DC proper and can say, with some exaggeration of course, that no one likes this venue. $60 to park is added insult. @MingSubu: FGreen is no worse than any other parking location and could give an edge in getting out. Warning to all drivers: Get there early; I've seen bad backups and people getting to shows late. Warning to anyone who is remotely thinking "Oh, I

Being that this thread is the sticky and most accessible and at the forefront -- I hope it's possible that reports of Weekend One of DTrip can be about the setup, infrastructure, ins-and-outs..... all that stuff, but NOT setlists or super details about the show, for any artist. As a Weekend Two goer, I look for surprises on that. If that is deemed impossible, is there another thread tha

Back in '89, STEEL WHEELS, my buddy and I were so hard-headed that we would ONLY accept field/floor tix. We honestly would not sit in the regular stadium bowl. (The prices were no issue back then.) So, for three of the thirteen shows we tried to go to we did not go into the show and either stayed in the parking lot or left out! One was Shea Stadium, one Foxboro/Sullivan Stadium

Sports teams always sell tickets for their upcoming playoffs, long before they know if they're gonna actually hit that game. So the fact the team is selling for May 2 doesn't mean the STONES won't be still May 2nd, if Game 6 is not needed. There musta been a reason why the show was scheduled for May 2nd, and not the 1st or 3rd (the 3rd is probably too close to Oakland's s

May 1st vs May 3rd: Assuming Stones can't be the 4th (because of Oakland the following night) and not the 30th, due to NBA Game 5, are the only choices May 1, 2, 3 for the show? Anyone know how hockey would play into deciding on a Wed or Fri concert date if Game 6 (now that it is scheduled, if not definite, for Thurs)?

On previous tours this century I remember exchanging emails with a buddy in the vein of "Isn't it weird that you can just pull up a 12th row center Stones ticket on TM even though the show has been on sale for weeks/months?!?" Previous tours with big prices (well....back then the highest price was something like in the $450 range) also had availability long after the onsale.

I always heard that the only person who should be sitting during a Stones show is Charlie Watts... As for The Who and all other bands.... Standing v sitting has to be the most difficult conflict at concerts, especially with the aging of the concertgoing population as was pointed out already in the thread. I, personally, prefer standing. When I'm in the mood to sit-- which does hap

for next tour. Songs like OH NO NOT YOU AGAIN, ROUGH JUSTICE, RAIN FALL DOWN and a few others I really hope stay in the setlist (doesn't have to be every show for all of 'em) for the next run of shows. Really nice songs -- great live, too. And..... I wish OUT OF CONTROL can make a comeback. I know it isn't always well-received at concerts. But maybe an altered timing in the s

I saw THE WHO last week. Great, great show. They still rock -- very passionate, the riffs are wonderful, attitude is terrific. (And I had a "falling out" with them in 99 after a pretty bad concert -- so now I have resurrected my respect for the band.) Also - openers on this leg of the tour, ROSE HILL DRIVE, cannot be missed. Three guys, straight-up rock attitude, feel and look.

Definitely not like So. Comfort. It's more like a Makers Mark, Evan Williams, etc, but--honestly-- not that good. I used to try it regularly out of respect to the man, but I find it not the right smoothness for me. (EARLY TIMES is my inexpensive browndrink, if I can't have JACK or GRAND OL DAD)

EARLY TIMES is the best for everyday needs (incl concerts) JACK DANIELS or a GRAND OLD DAD is good for finer needs REBEL YELL-- no offense to Keith, but I don't dig it all that much

My wife just told me that she's always disliked Lisa Fischer. (surprise to me after going w/ her to shows since '94!) Wife says Lisa shouldn't be in the band; that she brings down the band; she does not bring what the intent of the vocal parts should be; she doesn't have the vocal presence the Stones need. Anyone else share these feelings?
