I'm sure this has been covered a zillion times but ... ...how do US residents download or gain access to LA Friday, Bigger Bang In Toronto 2005, Brussels Affair, Tokyo Dome, etc. From the Stones site: These downloads are not available to customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, or Germany. Thanks for the advice!

You're right. This is sooooooooo boring: Dancing with Mr. D., Coming Down Again, Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker),Angie, Silver Train, Hide Your Love, Winter, Can You Hear the Music and Star Star. what kind of band makes this awful music? who do they think they are? next thing you know they'll probably want to sell out stadiums all over the world and sell hundreds of million

Tried to listen but couldn't make it thru JJF (opener). Seriously. Tried other tunes but those were just as boring. I've seen the Stones 25+ times since '78 and know what they can do when playing like they mean it. Not hating just saying. Does anybody agree or did I miss something we haven't heard before?

... appearing on other live albums? I'm sure somebody can easily provide song titles and how many times are repeated on flashpoint, no security, totally stripped, shine a light, ya ya's, live licks, still life etc. Hopefully it's easily accessed from an existing database. I'm a lazy slob on the dole that would like to know. First to provide gets a Matt Clifford autogra

how about some props for covering a great song? it's not like jason isbell and ryan adams are fronting some hack bar band. of course it not's going to sound like the original. these guys had the guts (and the chops) to get out of their comfort zone and played homage to the Stones. get over it.

is it neater, neeter, neiter, neuter or neither? btw: elton peaked at goodbye yellow brick road and queen never peaked. just plain terrible. please don't respond by saying brian may is a genius (which scientifically he is) and freddy mercury was talented. he wasn't. ouch.

for a $ 1000 a ticket they should be playing the fonda, beacon, hard rock - you get my drift.

Agree w/long john stoner. me: 56. 20 + shows since '78. love the stones - but same set lists over & over plus $ 1000 per ticket = pure greeeeeed. sounds like a frank sinatra show. you have a catalog of 50+ years but chuck and mick continue to pick the same 20 songs every night? i'm not saying play satanic majesties in it's entirety but 2 songs per night of a so called

Never seen mentioned on this site and wanted to because the host puts in mucho time and effort (it's obvious) making it. It's an excellent weekly radio show with alternate & different takes, fresh listens of oldies but goldies and rare stuff. Highly recommended. Search by title thread and you should find it. My once a year post.

There's no news because they can sleepwalk thru rehearsals if you play the same exact songs night after night after night after ...... Love the Stones. Hate the sameness. One night at the Fonda doesn't count.

Recently listening some to Screamin' Jay Hawkins - much better than you'd think. An Encyclopedia.com entry says he: Recorded with Rolling Stone Keith Richards, 1979, 18th December: SCREAMING JAY HAWKINS. New York City, Blue Rock Sudio. Producer: Allan Schwartzberg. I Put A Spell On You (Jalacy Hawkins) Armpit #6 (Jalacy Hawkins) Line-up: KR (gtr)/Screaming Jay Hawkins (voc)/all oth

Taken from that article: Toward the end of '73, Miller embarked for Jamaica, where sessions for the next Stones album, Goats Head Soup, were underway. After the frenetic experience of making Exile on Main Street, Miller and the band seemed to take a lackluster approach during the sessions in Jamaica. Andy Johns, also the engineer on these sessions, describes what was taking place: "B

There's a snippet of Darryl (not playing) in the Jaco Pastorius documentary. In addition, found this from an 1996 Bass Player interview w/Mr. Jones which I thought interesting: INTERVIEWER: There are a few Wyman-esque lines on Voodoo Lounge--like the opening riff of "I Go Wild" and the octave climbs in the bridge and fade-out of "Suck on the Jugular." DARRYL: I can

I'm trying to verify this photo is Alex Sadkin for sure. This photo was taken at 973 Dynamic Sounds Studio, Kingston Jamaica. Goats Head Soup sessions. Date unknown. Photographer unknown. A close friend of Alex's who knew him and his recording history has his doubts it's him. I checked The Complete Works and found no mention of his name. Could Alex have been an assistan

" We must remain hopeful and positive despite the last 30+ years worth of sub par material. Admittedly not an easy task - for them or for us - only time will tell." I've watched this site for years and only started posting - primarily because no matter what the Stones do or how they do it - there are people who do nothing but complain. If that's how you feel why even post

I disagree. It could be a combination of Who's Next, Beethoven's 5th, Exile on Main Street, James Brown at the Apollo and Revolver and people on would here still complain. No matter what they produce people are going to dismiss it because it was recorded after 1978.

Revisited this tonight and Mac totally jams. His B3 is swoopin' and fillin' in all the right places and how he plays piano at full throttle like his hero - Johnnie Johnson is amazing. There's some guy named Mick Taylor playing guitar. Does anybody know anything about him? He sounds like he has some experience.

Posts like this (from another forum topic) are maddening. "The bass used to be an important instrument in the Stones. Now it's just a mediocre background thud with no emotional notes at all. I know Bill isn't coming back. He's made that clear. But the Stones seem ear deaf to replacing him with a Stones level replacement, instead of a hired gun noodler. Gee, maybe Keith can in

Lois Gibson is one of the best and well respected forensic scientists in the world. If she says it's him, I'd lay money on it. What reason does she have to lie or verify something if not true?
