Mac on Real Live

Revisited this tonight and Mac totally jams. His B3 is swoopin' and fillin' in all the right places and how he plays piano at full throttle like his hero - Johnnie Johnson is amazing.

There's some guy named Mick Taylor playing guitar. Does anybody know anything about him? He sounds like he has some experience.

Apparently Bob Dylan's Real Live.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

A lovely, but sloppy band, where Mac is great as usual. Love Real Live, although hardcore Bob-fans tend to hate it smiling smiley

Have you heard the bootleg "Live at Paleur" from Rome, 19th june 1984? That's a lot
more enjoyable than the official live album.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

I like some of it, but don't like the Santana guest spot on Tombstone Blues.

I love Real Live and the entire band is on fire. It is a rock n' roll album, which is probably why a lot of Dylan hardcore fans don't like it. I do! There is just a scorching version of I and I on it with some fantastic guitar work. The entire album has incredible guitar work on it and some great barroom keys from Mac!

Never heard of that player, but on the video below they play "Highway 61", and the band sounds like the good 1970 Rolling Stones. A different singer though.
