I live 100 miles away so can drive at very short notice Though it would mean getting home at 5am or something crazy. I've got a strong feeling there's something in this. Whenever Knebworth hosts concerts, it's invariably in August as it was for the Stones in '76. IMHO, it's not the nicest venue - just a big sloping field with the stage at the bottom of the slope i

Quotebv QuoteDreamer Quotebv I am afraid my uphill race on August 15 will have to go if it seems like their plans about Knebworth are happening. If. So you don't know anything... Nothing is official until it is confirmed in public. Dreamer, Read between the lines! That doesn't mean that he doesn't know anything. If he did, would he say so on here, before a public announce

Bjornulf, there will be plenty of other uphill races in August for you I'm sure. Especially in Norway! Do they have any other kind of race there ( apart from downhill ones! >< ) Please, please ,please wave your magic wand and make this happen ... they do read this board so they must know the demand would be there. not just from Brits but from nearby Europeans willing to travel.

Quotea bigger nut Quoteskyhawk "When the Stones do not tour, I do uphill running almost every week during summer, and I have a major one scheduled for August 15, Skåla Opp (unless something else is happpening on that date)." Very interesting. Indeed . Just read that. I'm tentatively hoping there's something afoot here and perhaps that's Bjornulf subtly alluding t

Quotecrawdaddy He's not my mate, I'm his mate or buddy as he called me. Even better >< He seems to get a bit of stick for having a big influence on setlists etc but by all accounts is a very nice chap. He gave a nice interview to Shattered! International Magazine a few years back (Dutch Stones fanclub magazine - in English)

QuoteBluzDude Quotegrzegorz67 Quotecrawdaddy Great Stuff ! Really looking forward to Hyde Park June 26th. And me Finally bought my ticket on Sunday night. I'm in GA Early Entry so will queue from early to get right up front. Your section is the only one sold out - tickets are plentiful in all other categories. I watched the 'Can;t Explain' video. They're sounding

Quotecrawdaddy Chuck may have some ideas what the crowd would like. A fairly local gig for the Stones keyboard man. Well you should know Tony! He's your mate as you've met him

Those shirts were first sold on the Voodoo Lounge tour 20 years ago. I remember seeing a lot of people wearing them at the 2 shows I saw on that tour (Sheffield and Wembley 3). As others have said, not a chance of a re-issue unless one particular line of that is removed or amended. Standards have long since moved on....

I think my brother and I (then 13!) went halfers to buy McCartney II for my dad's birthday the year it was released. My dad certainly has it on vinyl. I'm touring the 4 Scandinavian capitals in July for my holiday and I just happen to be passing through the 3 cities he's playing at the right time I'm certainly going to try to attend at least one of these shows - by picki

The thing I love about Charlie is that he is naturally cool by simply being himself. Others put effort into being cool while Charlie doesn't have to put any in

For the IORR Fan Song Vote I vote for 'I wanna be your man' DP & Gibsonman, no doubt you're well aware that Macca is playing at the Telenor in July. I saw him twice last week and he's on fire! Got great reviews here too. Didn't do IWBYM though. I'm pretty sure Ringo sang their version.

This sounds fantastic guys Very good luck to you all. I don't think there will be any setlist complaints here! I can only volunteer to be an audience member but I live 80 miles (130km) west of London so if you do any kind of gig I'm defintely in. As long as you don't charge too much for FoS tickets ><

QuoteNikkei The weirdest thing about security was after the show, when they kind of chain-linked their arms into each other in an effort to usher us to another exit. They acted so damn ridiculous... They certainly did act ridiculously. Anyone remember the guy in charge of GA Entrance at the top end of the Park ? Loud shouty guy with long dreadlocks bundled into a baseball cap. Shouted at his

QuoteNikkei Quotegrzegorz67 QuoteNikkei Funny, I arrived in London much too late for the front row run and ended up second row. During the show I gave up that spot and went back about 20m because the stage was so high. Hi Nikkei, That stage WAS high in Hyde Park, now that I remember. For Show 1 I was about 15m from the front and 4m from the catwalk Ronnie Side. I think that was about right

QuoteGreen Lady 2015 or 2016 - bring it on! Nah - 2015, PLEASE! Can't wait and can't be bothered flying over to the US/Canada they tacked Hyde Park onto the end of a US tour 2 years ago so they can do it again. Come on Charlie! You know it makes sense (The other 3 are supposedly well up for it). A few of the local papers in the Knebworth area are apparently carrying the story too

Really crossing my fingers on this. I love the whole camping out early for a spot up front in GA scene. I find that the meeting other fans and atmosphere is fab That was my experience of both HP shows, marred by the odd fight in the crowd. If this does happen, I hope the crowd control and security is much better than at Hyde Park (which was piss poor imho).

QuoteRedhotcarpet I really wish they wouldnt do Knebworth. It has a very cool and special (hot) place in the heart of many fans. Knebworth is all about the 1976 version of the band. It didn't stop them from doing Hyde Park! On 44th anniversary too, not a notable anniversary either!

QuoteMisterDDDD No post show blues for me either, typically. After the tour is over however.... ugh. There's always been more than a little bit of truth in the saying (at least by me) As long as The Rolling Stones are playing somewhere tonight, all is right with the (my) world... I feel a bit yuck if it's my last night attended of a tour. I did 3.in Europe last year. felt fine

Urban Jungle Europe 1990 with the picture of mick from the album cover of Love You Live on the front of it. You can see me wearing it in the closing credits of Sweet Summer Sun showing the crowd dispersing after HP2 (with Hide your Love from GHS as the background music) To gigs I often wear my US flag T shirt from the Licks Tour. You can see me here in Oslo last year. I haven't bought any

I'm in and ready, willing and able to camp out overnight for a spot upfront. I did exactly that for Hyde Park 1 2 years ago. Hope this happens. it sounds feasible. There is a recent precedent: don't forget that Glasto and the 2 Hyde Park shows were tacked onto the end of a 20 odd date US & Canada arena tour. I'm sure a good few European IORRians will hop over - I know many

Quotefirebird Quoteroller99 QuoteDREAMTIME I'm 59 but will always prefer GA for rock n roll. You can change the people you are next to for one and better for doing drugs! I so agree. I'm was in first row at San Diego and it sucked as far as seating. They hired the Gestapo to run the event. They should just make one side of the catwalk seated and the other side GA That's actu

QuoteGfmsoccer Quotegrzegorz67 QuoteGfmsoccer QuoteStonedRambler Okay most of you say it's about money, but I don't really understand. Wouldn't it bring more money to have a sold-out show with 150$ Tickets, people standing close to each other and the whole stadium would be full? This isn't Europe or SA. They have strick laws here about GA and how many people can be on a floo
