Hi Mr Crawdaddy And that's how I recognised Mr Powderman, standing right next to me in the audience for the excellent Midnight Ramblers tribute act at the John Dee club the night before the gig ! I went to the actual gig itself with him too. Mr DP played a starring role all weekend, welcoming lots of visiting non Norwegians into his entourage, you and I included. I'll be at t

Wembley, Friday 24th August 1990. 2nd last night of the UJ tour, with, curiously, the Steel Wheels set. Still very fresh in my mind

Mine too DP! My 1st show was the 2nd last night of the whole tour at Wembley on 24th August 1990 when we got the Steel Wheels Stage instead. I thought it was going to be my 1st and last show ever. Look how that turned out! Still mulling over going to the U.S. tour but might hang on for South America in the Autumn instead. What I'd really like is for them to come back to the UK/Europe next

My friend's mum was there. They did 2 shows at the Sala Kongresowa the same day. I believe the Police had water cannon! I came to Poland for the fantastic BtB show at Chorzow on 14.8.98. I got one of those ancient buses from Warsaw to Chorzow that took 7 hours and the guy sitting next to me was at that 1967 show! Milo byc snowu w Polsce!!

Quotecrawdaddy Hope to see some of you guys at Hyde Park on June 26th. Couldn't make O2 gigs or RAH but looking forward to June with Paul Weller and Vintage Trouble also on the bill. I'll be there in GA queueng from 10-11am 80 quid all in. IMHO, excellent value for money considering the support acts too. It sounds like there will be a substantial IORR presence there on the

QuoteManofwealthandtaste Quotegrzegorz67 Yep, I've been as high as a kite since my show on Sunday night. Roger's voice was excellent but I do doubt the wisdom of a 71 year old man singing a 2 hour concert 2 nights on the trot. Our Mick gave that up years ago! Good to here the great man's voice held up well for the 2nd night anyway. Yes, agree.....what I heard from speaking t

I saw the Who for the 1st time in my life on Sunday night. I scooped a 5th row floor ticket from the official site, 9 days before the show. A wonderful evening's entertainment with some great banter between Rodge & Pete and with the audience. Explanations of the background to their songs beforehand including 'Pictures of Lily' which Pete described in very plain language ind

QuoteGrison In Europe they had also the lucky dip tickets and despite the comment of Björnulf a lot of ticket agencies sold those for quite a long time after the concert has been called sold out. For Instance Oslo was open for about 10 days and Zurich even for more then two weeks in which you were able to get Tickets. I know that it did not work for other concerts as well. I can't recall

QuoteDoomandGloom QuoteRockinJive QuoteDoomandGloom They should announce this tour schedule on April 1st as it's an "April Fools" joke. IT's unlikely they'll fill stadiums in such small market cities. The Stones are avoiding the entire East Coast of the country. Boston, New York, Philly, Baltimore that's where the money and a good part of their fan base is. Maybe

I've just bought a ticket to see the Who for the very 1st time. March 22nd at the O2 in London and I got the 5th row of the middle front section (A2). Sooo excited. I plan to see my main band in San Diego & LA if I possibly can but this will keep me going until then. What should I expect ? As a 1st timer I want to hear THEIR warhorses for the 1st time, just as I did with the S

QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash Quotegrzegorz67 So I would surmise the following: 1. Tour Anouncement - Wednesday 18th March 2. Pre-sale - Thursday 19th March 3. General Sale Friday 20th March for the 1st batch of anounced dates anyway... Last year, the European shows didn't all go on sale the same day. Pinkpop & Werchter were 1st. I tried for the former without success.

Quotecrawdaddy Can't stand the bloke. Arrogant and an all round horrible person in my opinion. Hear ! Hear ! Couldn't put it any better myself Tony If the Beeb fire him (hopefully so) then Sky will probably pick him up and I won't be paying his outrageous salary. Bjornulf, the fact of you standing near him, totally oblivious to who he was is the best possible put down

Quotebv I was sitting right next to The Edge in the pool of Hollywood Bowl, just loved that show. Such a great venue, also great shows there, wish they could do more venues like that. Back to the 2015 summer tour in North America, it will start on the Weast Coast late May and finish on the East Coast mid July. So I will do some more biking in the Topanga Hills hopefully. Quote24FPS Here's what you do. If it's a stadium show, get a map of the place so you know where all seats would be. Go the night of show and wait around for it to start. There will be so many tickets from scalpers about to be worthless that you should be able to pick and choose at a reduced rate, and have a decent seat. I've done exactly that several times and never failed. In

QuoteRoscoe If this is going to be a stadium tour as rumored then I'd expect prices to be more reasonable than the 2013 U.S. tour. They can't charge 2013 prices and expect to sellout U.S. stadiums. If that's the case, then I wouldn't count on there even being lucky dip tickets. Just a thought. Excellent point Roscoe. The 2013 US prices were laughable so surely they won'

I love this song but have never seen it performed live in 21 lifetime shows ! I've missed it by one gig 3 times since it returned to the set in 2005. In 2006 I was in Cardiff (it was played 2 days earlier in my native Glasgow) In 2007 I was in Paris (it was played 2 days later in Lyon) and last year I was in Sweden (it was played 2 days later in Roskilde) My favourite ever ve

Nice to see you've learnt how to speak English 'properly' (only kidding North Americans) >< Well actually native standard in your case Bard! Here's my very favourite picture from that 'queue'. I'm dreaming already
